Indeed it isHow is Paul doing that if the passage is speaking post conversion?

If you haven’t, then that’s goodI have not claimed anything different!
Doug
Right, but where does it blame it on the Devil as you claimed?I don’t believe he can be speaking of his post conversion. But if you take it that way, Paul says (twice) “it is no longer I, but sin living in me that does it!”
Doug
We can blame it on the flesh.Right, but where does it blame it on the Devil as you claimed?
I agree it refers to post conversion. I never concerned myself about my sin before God, nor had a struggle against it pre-conversion.Indeed it is
How about "The Devil made me do it?"We can blame it on the flesh.
Amen to that!I agree it refers to post conversion. I never concerned myself about my sin before God, nor had a struggle against it pre-conversion.
Okay, okay, we can blame him.How about "The Devil made me do it?
Why would you not believe Paul was not a Christian when he wrote Romans? If one takes Rom 7:14-25 as Paul being a Christian then that is precisely what he says! Fortunately, I do not, so I can’t answer your question!
Doug
Well Ken, that depends on the time of day whether a man wants to or not. It's often argued that 'Command does not imply ability;' and that God demands what is impossible for men. I find no such excuse in Scripture. The reason no man perfectly keeps the law is because no man wants to, and not because no man can
I think he is saying Paul was a Christian when writing Romans but his Romans 7 experience was before conversion. But I'm sure @TibiasDad will clear that up for us.Why would you not believe Paul was not a Christian when he wrote Romans?
Do you realize that scripture teaches deceit is the fountainhead of every sin?
Look at Eve, she was beguiled before she ate.
And today the devil still follows the same course. 2 Cor 11:3.
there are many scriptures which warn the believers of deception.
??
I hope someone does clear that up for him.I think he is saying Paul was a Christian when writing Romans but his Romans 7 experience was before conversion. But I'm sure @TibiasDad will clear that up for us.
The devil never made anyone do anything they didn’t already want to do. Now, who was it that stirred up the Assyrians to attack Israel in Isaiah 10? 🤔How about "The Devil made me do it?"
Which makes me wonder, did the Devil ever make anyone do anything? I'm thinking Adam, Eve, Judas Iscariot. May be a good thread topic!
Biden? Obama? Wait, Clinton! The devil never made anyone do anything they didn’t already want to do. Now, who was it that stirred up the Assyrians to attack Israel in Isaiah 10? 🤔
I’m blaming it on RioBiden? Obama? Wait, Clinton!
But you're correct, the excuse "The Devil made me do it" is a lie.
Who's that?I’m blaming it on Rio
Right, but where does it blame it on the Devil as you claimed?
