Is faith a condition of salvation?

Is faith, strictly speaking, a condition of salvation? Does a man have to believe before he can be saved?

Did Jesus die on the cross, doing 99%, and now leaves it up to us to believe, doing the last 1%?

In still other words, did Jesus’ death make salvation possible, or did he actually efficaciously accomplish redemption?

It's fallacious to equate an action with meriting the result.

The Bible is crystal clear faith brings salvation, man made philosophies make one feel the need to reinterpret that plain meaning.

Grace enables and empowers faith, but grace is not literally faith, or faith would not have a separate word.

Jesus actually accomplished salvation for his people when he died on the cross. Period.

So we must believe to be saved, but if we have true faith, it is a gift given by God through the death of Christ by the sovereign work of the Holy Spirit.

I think it all happens at the same time...grace, mercy, faith, belief, regeneration...

This is the way; walk in it.

That takes faith.

Your begging the question.

So we must believe to be saved,
That's our argument. Welcome to the truth! 😇😎

If we are regenerated, then we are already saved and the subsequent belief means nothing and has no value.

Except regeneration itself does not save you. It's is a means to a end.

To the Arminian what is the function of regeneration post faitn??

really?

Titus 3:5 (ESV) — 5 he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,

Ephesians 2:5 (ESV) — 5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—
