Is it good to dim the sun?

Biden Admin Backs Risky Geoengineering Plan to Block Sun....(article)

I would imagine because the Biden Administration...Cabal...is for it..so will the libs that post here.

According to the article...
"one method the government is testing is sending a group of planes to spray reflective particles into the upper atmosphere. Ideally, this would block sunlight and keep surface temperatures from rising too high."

Critics argue that there are potential downsides to blocking the sun’s rays, including the negative impacts on photosynthesis for plants—and particularly those that are part of the food cycle.

Blocking the sun is a bit different to dimming it!

And I imagine the right wingers will object to it. Look, they already are.

Do you have a real reason for objecting, or is this just a political post?
The OP mentioned some.

Would you say blocking the sun....over large areas of the earth...and not your quick set up camping tent...is a good idea?

And do you personally think they are valid objections? Or was your objection political?

Do you think the sun will be completely blocked over those areas? The article says "one method the government is testing is sending a group of planes to spray reflective particles into the upper atmosphere". What they are talking about is reflecting a pretty small percentage of the sunlight from an area, not blocking the sun entirely.

We are talking about blocking say 5% of sunlight oer large areas of the area to prevent climate change. Is that a good idea? Potentially yes.

Do you think blocking 5% of sunlight will negatively affect photosynthesis? Do you think plants survive prolonged cloudy weather? Or do you have other objections?

Besides it being proposed by Biden, that is.

---> Here is an assessment written in 2018.

It's not recommended.

Political? No. It's a scientific issue...Greta Thunberg is political. She doesn't realize she's being used.

It doesn't matter how much of the sun they deliberately block. They have no right to do so.

There is no demonstrable climate change.

Let the earth take care of it's self the way God designed it. If it gets to hot there will be more evaporation which equals more clouds. More clouds naturally blocks the sun which cools down the earth.

Just let it be.

Climate Scientist don't have the answer....so they should leave it alone.

Biden isn't proposing anything....he doesn't have the ability.

What we have here is a clear case of misrepresentation of the government proposal by the right-wing "headlineusa" - the source of the article. The article references a government document which it claims proposed blocking the sun. Here is the government document. Can you find anything in here about proposing to block the sun? It is a call for comment - a request for ideas. It is not a proposal of anything at all. But I can see how a right-wing journalist can take this article and try to blow it up into something the sounds like a proposal to block the sun.
