Landslide victory for Newsom in California

I said nothing about me. I said that companies that employ educated people are not likely to decide to move to Texas given their positions on voting rights, abortion and gun control.

I would not move there and in fact would not visit.
There was a story about two weeks back of a restaurant owner who had a sign in his business saying people who were vaxed were not welcome. The place was so busy they ran out of food.

Let the people make a decision.

We do have national standards on some things, so people in NY and SD have to meet those standards.

I do not live in a Red State and would not choose to do so, so I would not be living in a place that banned abortions.

Of course people with minority opinions should have a say, but if they cannot convince the rest of us, then their opinion does not become law.

I am in favor of Constitutional principles being held and enforced. Like the emoluments clauses, for example.
But you are ducking the reason why Congress has two branches

I can tell it would make you very happy if conservative states suffered an economic downturn.
When some states passed voting restrictions and major sporting events were moved elsewhere, those laws were changed.
Economic pressures can be used to effect changes, but this only works if the majority of people are in favor of those changes.

If your state has an unpopular law in place that damages voting rights or interferes with the reproductive decisions of women, then those states can expect to be targeted in multiple ways, because the people will not accept what the RWers in power are pushing.

And we see by the reactions towards mandates the dems are pushing, and we see you are opposed to that. Double standards

huh?
I agree that people in workplaces with others should be expected to get vaccinated, or be required to get weekly testing done.
I think people opposed to that can quit their jobs and find work in places that do not require vaccines or testing, but such places will be increasingly hard to find.
Where is the double standard?

Again you are dictating big brother approved options.

I see the glee in your posts to punish people who will not conform.

And again, where is the double standard?

All citizens should accept the same standard, and that is by universal vaccination, and by an additional layer of protection from masking and social distancing.

Your side does not want to do any of this, often insisting that this pandemic is no big deal, and your side has no proposal for restoring our economy that has been damaged by the pandemic you think is no big deal.

Yes I think the govt has an important duty in addressing national emergencies, like a pandemic.
This is not something we leave to individuals to deal with on their own.
And yes, if medical science has provided a safe and effective vaccine, then people should be expected to get vaccinated.

What is your alternative to how we should be dealing with this?
I keep asking and you do not respond.
