For a person to not understand Jesus is God due to ignorance...that is has never seen that theology...typically a new christian...can be a true Christian.
On the other hand someone who is maturing in the Bible...can easily understand Jesus is God....the second of the Trinity.

Someone who uses scripture to strip Jesus of His divine nature....isn't a true christian...IMO. They are presenting a false Christ Jesus.
