On February 19, Dr Edwards of Cliff College, Derbyshire, UK, a Methodist College lecturer, tweeted:" 'Homosexuality is invading the Church. Evangelicals no longer see the severity of this b/c they're busy apologising for their apparently barbaric homophobia."

He was subsequently informed that he could be referred to the government-led counter-terror counter-extremism programme "Prevent".

Cliff College, where he had worked for seven years, describes itself as providing 'theological education and training with a particular focus on mission and evangelism'.

In June 2002, the Methodist Church became the biggest religious group in Britain to say "yes" to same-sex marriages.

The move - which followed debates at a Methodist Conference - was hailed by campaigners as a 'momentous step on the road to "justice and inclusion".

A total of 29 out of the 30 Methodist Synods in Britain confirmed they were in support of provisional resolutions to allow the practice.

The current membership of the Methodist Church of Britain is 164,000, making it the fourth largest denomination of Christian Churches in the UK.

The bible does speek of a falling away as we approach the end times.

The bible does speek of a falling away as we approach the end times.
2 Thess 2:3.4 "Let no one deceive you in any way, for it will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of sin—the son of destruction—is revealed. Let no one deceive you in any way, for it will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness—the son of destruction—is revealed."

This is the rebellion, if I'm not mistaken. It is revealing the men of sin.

Yes, Matthew 10, brother will betray brother and children their parents.. and in the context of the NT its within the church. Lgbt seems to the invading relgion

Even if John Wesley is quite feeble in enumerating the sins to be avoided (as he comes across as too holy to mention ALL the sins of the flesh) there is no doubt that he meant to include them all.

On p.18 of his Doctrine of Original Sin (1999 edition), a lot of sins get subsumed under the 'fornication' umbrella.

"In consequence of this, they were “filled with all unrighteousness,” vice of every kind, and in every degree— in particular “with fornication,” (taking the word in its largest sense, as including every sin of the kind,) “with wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness, with envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity;” — being “haters of God,” the true God, the God of Israel, to whom they allowed no place among all their herd of deities— “despiteful, proud, boasters,” in as eminent a degree as ever was any nation under heaven— “inventors of evil things,” in great abundance, of mille nocendi artes, [A thousand arts of annoyance.—Ed.] both in peace and war— “disobedient to their parents' &etc."

It is ironic that his omission to ever condemn homosexuality in terms, even though he cites the 'men of Sodom' as justly punished by God, should come back to haunt these latter-day 'Methodists' / eviscerators of the truth. Yet John Wesley makes it plain that those with corrupt minds cannot know God (and are disbarred from faith):

Wesley, Doctrine of Original Sin, p. 497 of his original 1757 edition:
"If ye are not Partakers of his Holiness, ye cannot be reconciled to it. The Heathens finding they were not like God in Holinefs, made their Gods like themfelves in Filthineds and thereby difcover'd what Sort of a God the natural Man would have. God is Holy. Can an unholy Creature love his unspotted Holiness? Nay, it is the Righteous only that can give Thanks at the Remembrance of his Holiness. God is Light : Can Creatures of Darkness, and that walk in Darkness, rejoice therein ? Nay, everyone that doth Evil hateth the Light. For what Communion hath Light with Darkness?'"
He would be turning in his grave if he could see his churches now.
