Mike Pence opens up

Pence stated that he made a promise to the American people and to Almighty God with the oath of office.

- Pence said that he told Trump that he would not intervene in the election and that Trump lost the election, many times. He was keeping his oath.

- Pence said that the president's words were reckless and his actions were reckless and that his words endangered himself, his family, and everyone at the capitol building.

- Pence stated that his secret service agent came to him when rioters breached on the south side, and walked up to him on the house floor and said; "Mr. Vice President, we've got to go."

What Pence observed "infuriated" him. As the situation was unfolding police officers were assaulted, people were "smashing" their way through windows, and people climbing one over another in the riot.

- Pence said that he was filled with indignation - "not this, not here, not in America".

Mike Pence and his wife stayed in their office until the secret service told them that they could not protect them in a room with glass windows. So they went down into the loading dock, staying there, and Pence would not give the rioters the satisfaction of watching the Vice President's motorcade "speeding away from Capitol Hill".

"It doesn't take courage to break the law, it takes courage to uphold the law."

Rioters outside chanting - "Hang Mike Pence, nothing but a traitor" - " He deserves to burn like the rest of them."

Should the former president run again?

Pence answered the question above.

"That is up to the American people, and I think we will have better choices in the future."

Pence is powerfully considering the idea of running for President in the next election.

From what I have read is that Pence could have legally delayed the vote for something like 10 days.....until the issue of voter fraud was looked into. BUT, he didn't.

It doesn't matter if he runs.....Pence can't win. Why? Election fraud hasn't been fixed...and Pense demonstrated he became part of the problem on Jan 6.
He let the thieven dems get away with a stolen election.....now he's considering a run??? Good luck with that. He has his chance and the fool blew it.

There exists a two hour rule put in place by the Electoral Count Act that is narrowly focused on finalizing the results by the two chambers. The Constitution specifically references the incumbent Vice President as responsible for counting every single one of the certifications from the state electors. Also, the Vice President ( i.e. President of the Senate) is statutorily empowered to preserve order.

Unfortunately, this will accomplish very little - those that aren't Trump cultists, already knew it, and those that are Trump cultists, will never believe it.

It is going to take Trump appearing on national television and admitting that he lost the election - and that he engaged in a treasonous and fraudulent campaign of misinformation - to convince some of the latter.

And I do mean "some", because even this would be explained away by most of them.

Nope. They would scream either deep fake or his family was tortured and threatened if he didn't say the words. They will not believe it.

It's my hope that the traditional GOP will regroup and present a solid front not based on conspiracy beliefs that usually end up in the proverbial trash bin. Many understand the damage done and are back on track to make their party operational again.
