Church of England appoints Rachel Mann as first transgender Archdeacon
[Rachel Mann describes itself as a "lesbian and trans woman" - I won't inflict its photo on you]
The novelist, poet and vicar [no skills in theology then] has been appointed to the senior position in a move described by LGBT+ campaigners as a 'beacon of hope'
[I would say not 'hope' but vain optimism - what 'hope' can they have if a trangender priest is the solution?]
She [It] said that she [it] is “humbled and excited” to take on the new role and asked for prayers as she [it] takes on this “demanding and hope-filled role”.
In an interview with The Telegraph in 2020, the Archdeacon, who is also a novelist, poet, vicar, and regular contributor to BBC radio and television, particularly on Radio 4’s Thought for the Day [no skills in theology then], saidshe [it] has “become very relaxed about my identity” [as a minister of satan] as Christian traditionalists questioned whether or not she [it] could be regarded as a priest at all.

Accepting the appointment, Revd Canon Dr Rachel Mann said: “I am humbled and excited as to have been called to become the new Archdeacon of Bolton and Salford.
[Its doctoral thesis was titled "The representation of fecundity and barrenness in the poetry of Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Christina Rossetti, and the Bible: a critical and creative interrogation of a Christian-feminist poetics", and was completed in 2017.]
“I am passionate about helping individuals and communities meet Jesus and follow him and I look forward to serving alongside the people in the Archdeaconries of Bolton and Salford as we respond to God’s joyous call on our lives. [but as it has no intention of responding to God's call to repent she is hypocrite indeed]
“Please do pray for me as I step forward into this demanding and hope-filled role and be assured of my prayers in the weeks, months and years to come.”
The Bishop of Manchester, the Rt Revd Prof David Walker, said he was “delighted” at the new appointment in his diocese, adding: “Her personal gifts, including as a writer, poet, liturgist and broadcaster [no skills in theology then] will combine with her new responsibilities, to help the people of this generation know and love Jesus Christ.” [persecution does bring a person closer to Christ - may be that's why a trans was selected]
Responding to the appointment, Jayne Ozanne, a prominent gay evangelicalChristian [follower of satan] and member of General Synod, the Church’s legislative body, said: “I am absolutely thrilled to hear the good news of Rachel’s appointment [so the good news is now no longer Christ's gospel but the promotion of LGBT] as the new Archdeacon of Salford and Bolton.
“Rachel is an exceptionally talented priest, and the Church [?] of England is very lucky to have the benefit of her experience as a gifted leader, writer, poet and broadcaster [no skills in theology then]
“As our first senior member of the clergy who happens to be trans, I know her appointment will be a beacon of light and hope to all within the LGBT+ community and beyond who are worried about the impact of the divisive culture wars that are being waged by a small but powerful minority” [she doesn't know that only a remnant will be saved and that she isn't of the remnant.]
