The church decided on the title of mother of God centuries ago.
and your Church refuses to be corrected!!

They took a Christology doctrine (Theotokos) to address that Jesus was Divine since conception
and made it into a Marian DOGMA

which was the gateway to blasphemy
"all obey the commands of Mary, even God himself"
" Yes, Mary is omnipotent, adds Richard of St. Laurence, since the queen, by every law, must enjoy the same privileges as the king"

The Pope/Magisterium has been given the authority to settle these issues.

SELF proclaimed authority and you fell for it

"Unless we each conform, unless we obey orders, unless we follow our leaders blindly, there is no possible way we can remain free."
Frank Burn (last night's episode of MASH, made me think of CARM-posting Catholics)

No, Jesus proclaimed it in Matthew 16.

Claiming scripture alone as your final authority is something not taught by Jesus, the apostles or scripture, which you fell for and don't even seem to adhere to.

what does Peter's confession have to do with your Church

thanks for your strawman OPINON.

You don't have the guts to actually address the level of authority of God's words

Divine since conception? Jesus has been divine for all eternity!

This point has been explained time and time again on this website.

Still, Protestants don't get it.
Again non RCs get it, they don't accept it. They see it as what it is a false title. Jesus is not the Godhead, he is part of it. It gives a wrong impression but RCs are too proud to acknowledge that fact. It is a fact that goes over the head of RCs and they just don't get it.

We can discern the difference between what scripture actually says and your personal interpretation of scripture.
No you cannot you just give us your personal interpretation of the RCC's interpretation. You have shown you cannot discern and your logic when it comes to scripture is something I have never seen from any other poster. It leaves me stunned at how illogical it has been.
