My boat propeller gets shipped and somehow my bunk on the trailer also breaks.

I ask around for a propeller. First price $100(out of stock), 2nd price? $180( 4 days to wait.) Dealership where I bought the boat? They have stock!! $280 + tax???? How can everyone else sell a product cheaper than the boat dealer?

I ask for a bunk. $130+ Tax !!! We went to home depot bought a 2x4 of treated wood. Carpeted it and made it for $13 !!!!!

I went to buy some stuff at a local supplier. Prices are threw the roof! I call their supplier in Europe and they said I had to go threw our supplier because they SOME HOW acquired the rights(a monopoly?)?? Isn't that illegal in a capitalist system?

Man I tell you. I am robbed daily by capitalism. Some people not even aware of how it really works. If you dont think the price at the pumps is not price gouging, you have been conditioned to be conformed to a crooked economic system.

The cost of life is criminal.......Legalized theft....

The cost of life is criminal.......Legalized theft..... Do you want people to give you stuff for free
What you need is a government handout, to provide for your recreational expenses.

Have you checked out Piranha propellers? They're less expensive and are a composite. Or even aftermarket propellers?

I drove my car under capitalism once. Once. Dollars to donuts I didn't get far. ?
Under your favorite government....commy-ism...they tell you what car to buy, when to drive it and where you can drive it.
Perhaps they'll use the installed chip to know where you're at...or even allow you to start it if you have enough social credit points.

And then they drive tanks over the people who are so ungrateful as to point out the flaws in the system.

You should go ahead and move to Cuba, Venezuela, or one of the other really nice socialist/communist countries. Life there is good I bet :sneaky:

I'll stay in the good Ol' USA...

They go for trains and do the driving for you.

You're buying a boat propeller and complaining about capitalism while 3/4 of the people in the world are starving? You're become as ridiculous as vibise

Maybe we're traveling in that direction now.
A couple of years ago OnStar had this commercial where all you saw was a car from a third person point of view going up the road, while the OnStar auto navigator voice narrated what was happening as if on a call to a subscriber.
The system was informing the person that their carjacked vehicle, the one featured in the commercial view, was located and police were on their way. The OS operator then proceeded to say they were pulling the car over to the shoulder in a slow deceleration, and had locked the windows and doors to prevent the carjackers escape....

o_O This was a commercial touting the virtues of the OnStar system made available now in other vehicles.
I wonder how many copycats of OS are out there capable of the same control?

Your new cars are indeed carrying locator chips. Your keys to them are too. I would think you can be locked out of your car as easily as we think we can press a button to unlock.
Now there's a new car commercial wherein all the owner has to do is press a button on their key fob and the car parks itself. Not parallel but head on parking.
Imagine the control over electric vehicles. Besides being out of luck if the grid goes off line. No charge, no travel.

Home security systems are home surveillance systems. If they can watch your home when you're gone.... Smart TV's, the first being Samsung, are known to be able to eavesdrop. What good is listening in if they can't see you though?
Of course our cell phones have tracking chips. But interestingly, the sim card chip in our phone is identical to the chip on our debit and credit cards.

And we can even be eavesdropped on when on our phones. Last year a murderer made news having confessed to a murder while talking to a friend about the details. Supposedly he'd butt dialed 911 and 911 had the whole confession on tape.
Right! A gang member butt dials 911. That's one talented tookus.

And we've always been controlled in our travels. No license? No lawful travel. You have to register your car title with the DMV. The government can then take your vehicle anytime they wish for any reason given how things go now. Same with your property. Your deed. Even you. You have a birth certificate that makes you property of the state. And our kids too. Which is how CPS can swoop in and take custody.

We can't make a lawful living in America unless we let the government keep a percentage of our gross earnings first. It's their fiat currency! Their affiliates value the currency, print it, and distribute it into the public domain. Yet, before we're considered as making a "lawful living" we have to agree to let the government keep a portion of what it already owns before we get the balance.

And social security? That's a punchline. There's no social security in those monies that are ours to begin with until FICA takes it. Getting too little? Get a job again. Pay income taxes AND FICA again! Make too much money in that new job? Lose some of your SS payment.

Freedom is relative. Any government that claims they insure your freedom is equally able to take it away.
Notice? Our freedoms are by law?

3/4th's? There allegedly are nearly 8 billion people on earth right now. https://www.census.gov/popclock/

Where is the data that supports your claim?
Well India and china alone account for almost 3 billion of that. How many of them do you think have time to worry about how much a boat propeller costs because of the "evils" of capitalism. Are you really not able to see the point????????

..
Under your socialism, the State is the monoply since they own all the means of production

Factories sign up exclusive contracts all the time and can decide to NOT sell retail.
You can't buy a car factory direct. They set up dealers to sell and service.

You can buy a cow and get milk factory direct.

I work at a major public university. I hear college students saying things like this all the time. Talking about how oppressed they are, how awful capitalism is, all while checking out their iPhones, listening to music on their air pods, walking around in expensive clothes, enjoying a Starbucks coffee, and driving home on the weekends in their Audis and Mini Coopers and Priuses.

Yeah, capitalism sucks.
