I agree, America's capitalism allows the average person to work 40hrs a week and have a blue collared living, home, car, appliances, 15 choices of breakfast cereal on store shelves, Costco full of food and goods

In other countries its no car, house, electricity, and the only box of cereal on the shelf cost 2 days wages

No thats thanks to unions(socialism). Capitalist wanted people to work 60hr a week, 6 days a week and no benefits, no sick days, no vacation pay..... You guys are clueless....lol

My boat propeller gets shipped and somehow my bunk on the trailer also breaks.

I ask around for a propeller. First price $100(out of stock), 2nd price? $180( 4 days to wait.) Dealership where I bought the boat? They have stock!! $280 + tax???? How can everyone else sell a product cheaper than the boat dealer?

I ask for a bunk. $130+ Tax !!! We went to home depot bought a 2x4 of treated wood. Carpeted it and made it for $13 !!!!!

I went to buy some stuff at a local supplier. Prices are threw the roof! I call their supplier in Europe and they said I had to go threw our supplier because they SOME HOW acquired the rights(a monopoly?)?? Isn't that illegal in a capitalist system?

Man I tell you. I am robbed daily by capitalism. Some people not even aware of how it really works. If you dont think the price at the pumps is not price gouging, you have been conditioned to be conformed to a crooked economic system.

The cost of life is criminal.......Legalized theft....

America is currently operating on a system that is a mixture of capitalism/socialism

Welfare, food stamps/EBT, Medicare, social security, Covid subsistence, are all socialist programs

I fully agree that the capitalist wealthy and elite have made their wealth in many not all cases at the expense of their workforce

Working conditions and safety related concerns were bargained for in union contracts, long before legislation was enacted

The Depth Labor itself was born out of working blue called unions, interest concerning safety was seen in union contracts long before any government authority

More boating fishing and economics concepts.

Many years ago I bought my first of 16 cruising sloops. I had one docked at a marina and another docked at the yacht club.
So a poor momma puts 20 dollars in her big old Buick and drives to the lake. My boat is in the water and my convertible did 30 miles per gallon.
She stops and buys some worms for bait. Buys 6 pack of Pepsi and some Cheese curls and chips. 8 bucks for a Park Permit. Kids NEEED Skittles and Snickers. We saw them every weekend fishing off the bank by our docks. Sweet family.

I had picked up a bread and some deli meat. My college girlfriend did a salad.Sail into the sunset and take my girlfriend to town and grilled salmon at The Charthouse.
My annual Park Permit was 30 dollars.
This poor college kid spent half as much as welfare mom. Rich/poor farm kid attended Private H.S. and used farm labor to pay H.S. tuition.
Poor college kid scholarships covered tuition. Never a dime in student loans. My German convertible was new and I don't recall any repairs except a new convertible top after 3 years with no garage.
The Buick used sold for maybe a couple thousand depreciation.

Almost all of my sailboats I sold for used for more than they cost new. Again because i am a poor tightwad.

My Saturday in the life of Capitalism.

Fews years later fell in love and got married. We raised children at the lake on weekends. Day in the life of capitalism. Us poor folk saved a lot of money NOT having our kids at the Mall shopping on saturdays and begging 20 bucks for the movies.
