Your ancestors bought the slaves we traded. You still treat them like slaves. It's your country that is failing to deal with the aftermath of slavery, driven by Christian justification of the practice.
I'd say roman elitists justification. The wealthy that could own slaves justified slavery. Why single out Christianity?lol Slavery was common throughout history in Judaism, Islam and everywhere else.

Yet the intellectuals of that time in Greece all raved about Spartas socialism.

Sparta was unique in ancient Greece for its social system and constitution,

Sparta had a double effect on Greek thought: through the reality, and through the myth.... The reality enabled the Spartans to defeat Athens in war; the myth influenced Plato's political theory, and that of countless subsequent writers.... [The] ideals that it favors had a great part in framing the doctrines of Rousseau, Nietzsche, and National Socialism

Also I read this. Sounds like the men were castrated to me.LOL Which would explain loving each other,
Maybe thats why women in Sparta were able to walk around freely without a male guard. No chance of getting raped.lol

Spartan women were famous in ancient Greece for having more freedom than women elsewhere in the Greek world. To contemporaries outside of Sparta, Spartan women had a reputation for promiscuity and controlling their husbands. Unlike their Athenian counterparts, Spartan women could legally own and inherit property and they were usually better educated.

Aristotle criticized the Spartan state primarily for the power that their women owned more over property and men.

Did they engage in homosexual activity?? Apparently showing signs of physical affection were frowned upon according to Xenophon and Plutarch

Plutarch wrote:

Also the state was named after the daughter of the King( Sparta), who had no male heir, She and her husband made all the reforms. Sounds like she wore the pants. LOL

Anyways, we are talking about social systems. Sparta also had 2 kings and 2 judical houses for checks and balances and a constitution.
The unsullied.LOL
