John 3:36 (KJV 1900) — 36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Key is

he that believeth not the Son shall not see life.

The idea one can be regenerate previous to faith in Christ is contradicted by this verse.

It is to impart life apart from Christ and deny scripture.

Being anti-biblical should be rejected.

That verse doesn't even Mention regeneration.
Hello?!

Being anti-biblical should be rejected.

Then why don't you reject your own false theology?

Regeneration is what supplies life

Basic definition

DEFINITION OF REGENERATION
The word regeneration (Gk. paliggenesia) appears only twice in the New Testament. Once it is used eschatologically, “of the renewing of the world in the time of the Messiah” (Matt. 19:28),36 the second usage is “of the rebirth of a redeemed person” (Titus 3:5).37 Regeneration should be distinguished from conversion.
Conversion refers to the response of the human being to God’s offer of salvation and approach to man. Regeneration is the other side of conversion. It is God’s doing. In regeneration the soul is passive; in conversion, it is active. Regeneration may be defined as the communication of divine life to the soul … as the impartation of a new nature … or heart … and the production of a new creation.38
Succinctly stated, to regenerate means “to impart life.” Regeneration is the act whereby God imparts life to the one who believes.
moody handbook of theology

REGENERATION The transformation of a person’s spiritual condition from death to life through the work of the Holy Spirit. Although the concept of regeneration appears in both the Old and New Testaments, the word itself (παλινγενεσία, palingenesia) stems from the Pythagoreans (fifth century bc), who used it to indicate that the human soul does not perish with the body but is born again in new incarnations.

but then you should know this as you have no problem equating the being made alive in Eph 2 and Col2 with regeneration

so what do you hope to accomplish with that argument?

No answer., Calvinism leaves one with no answer.

Why would we answer? You refuse to understand the terminology and that regeneration is NEVER by itself. It is the transformation of a man from someone who believes the gospel is folly, to one who understands the gospel. One cannot be saved if one believes the gospel is folly. There can be no faith there. That spirit is dead, and incapable of understanding the gospel. Regeneration makes the spirit alive, unblocks the ears, and brings comprehension of the gospel message. It is the radical transformation of ones mind (spirit). The result is faith to salvation. There is no breakup. It all happens together. You can go to people who are saved, and they will tell you it is like a light turned on, and they understood the gospel and the rest is history (not to mention mystery.) They can even speak to the stark difference between before they understood and after. Night and day. Pitch black and bright light. Regeneration is not something that happens and we wait for years for salvation. It all happens together. It is like conception (Nicodemus crawling back up into the womb), and then birth (born again). Even Nicodemus understood that this is not something we can do for ourselves.

According to scripture

faith comes first

John 6:53 (KJV 1900) — 53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.

John 20:31 (KJV 1900) — 31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

you are quoting your theology while ignoring the scripture

Faith is not mentioned in either of these. In actuality grace comes first, and the regeneration is because of God's grace.

Really ?

John 20:31 (KJV 1900) — 31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

Except no one calls Christ Lord but by the Spirit.

No one understands minus the Spirit.

Flesh does not give birth to Spirit.

Another useless OP shot down.

Next?

"No Life without Faith?"

That's not what God says. :)

Life before faith is right here:

"...even while we were dead in sins, made us alive together with Christ..." Ephesians 2:5.

Then comes grace, salvation, dying in Him, being raised, then faith, works &c.

I mean it's right in the text.

Obviously humanists hate giving God the glory. How in the world are they going to love heaven? It's going to be awkward and uncomfortable for them is it not? Perhaps there is a Robert Schuller section up there? A reserved section for Joel Osteen? Some laptops and a forum to argue with believers, and twist Scripture? Well, that doesn't sound very heavenly, now does it, but that is the environment they thrive in. This is where their "sanctification" has led them? Hmmm...something to ponder.

But hey, God be glorified by those pesky truths of Scripture that readily dismantle errant OP's right off the bat! Amen?

Whooops!

And I will continue to do so as long as you ignore mine. Which you have no coherent explanation for.

"No one calls Christ Lord but by the Spirit."

Romans 10:9,10
Wrong

I have already noted the Spirit inspires scripture and convicts

yoiu simply ignore the fact unbelievers aree not given the Spirit

For by GRACE you have been saved... it came first. Through faith. The faith was not there first. So yes. Really. We are saved by grace. Were you one of those who all of a sudden felt that pelagianism was a good thing? I don't remember everyone who was involved? (That is why I asked. I know Civic was one of them.)

he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,
