Physical Child Abuse as Discipline

Please define physical abuse. I find myself disagreeing with other Christians. If we disagree on the subject, how do we change our treatment of children to a healthier method of discipline?

Could the Uvalde shooter have been a victim of abuse?
Likely. I think just about everyone has been abused at one point or another in life. It's almost impossible to avoid it. The problem is we are so busy teaching kids they can be a boy or a girl or neither and could be a kumquat if they wanted that we don't teach them how to be resilient. Life is a contact sport. Bad stuff happens and it's up to us to make it better for ourselves. We don't teach this stuff. Everyone gets a trophy, no one should ever experience disappointment or pain so whenever they they strike out. They don't know how to handle it.

I'm not addressing sexual abuse. I'm talking about corporal punishment: spanking with the hand, whipping with a switch, a belt, a yardstick, or some other object, or punching with a fist. What would God approve or disapprove of?

This sounds political and I'm not trying to go there.

What does that mean?

It's very simple what it means...life is hard. So ancient philosopher said it and it's quite true. We have to move forward

I know that life is hard for every person even if that person had wonderful parents. But I want opinions on the topic such as a sociologist would seek.

Serial killers are conscience-deprived people who draw pleasure by killing others using a particular modus operandi. It is difficult to identify such people as from their exterior appearance they seem quite harmless and kind. No surprises, there are still many unsolved cases of serial murders, and this means many serial killers are at present roaming freely being unsuspected across the world. However, it is also true that digitization of criminal records and better investigation technologies are helping the investigation officers to detect the pattern of killing used in different murders and establish whether a crime is the job of a serial killer or not. As a disturbed childhood is quite common in the profile of such killers, it is important to make sure every child is receiving love and care from his or her caregivers at home.
