Poor in Spirit

If Jesus Christ walked the earth today, would He describe the Roman Catholic Church as being "poor in spirit"?
Well, the Church is an institution, not a person. So, I suppose Jesus would look at every member of the Church to see if he or she is "poor in spirit". Some would be, some wouldn't be.

The question asked was not about the "Church" which is the Body of Christ. The question asked was specifically regarding the Roman Catholic Church.

Okay, but the point remains the same: Jesus would look at every member of the Catholic Church to see if "poor in spirit" pertained.

Do you mean considered from an institutional perspective, or considered from the collective perspective, or considered from the individual perspective?

The "Catholic Church" is an institution, but it is also comprised of individuals.

Well no because they do not understand the meaning of poor in spirit. They think they can work their way into heaven, Jesus is not enough. He would understand the false teachings of the RCC.
