Prayer for the lost

you do not know that

II. Although God knows whatsoever may or can come to pass upon all supposed conditions; yet hath he not decreed any thing because he foresaw it as future, or as that which would come to pass upon such conditions.

Westminster Assembly, The Westminster Confession of Faith: Edinburgh Edition (Philadelphia: William S. Young, 1851), 26–27.
God decreed that Jesus would die for the sins of many. He brings His plans to pass.

The bible says he is

1 Timothy 4:10 (LSB) — 10 For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers.

he offered up a sacrifice for all men so that whosoever trusts in him will be saved
Great! It says He is the savior of all men. Again, if all men are not saved, then how is He the Savior of all men? To be Savior means He saves them.

Because his sacrifice was on behalf of all men. Should any man trust in him he will be saved

Do you believe the bible?

1 Timothy 4:10 (KJV 1900) — 10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

Because his sacrifice was on behalf of all men. Should any man trust in him he will be saved

That still does not equate to Him literally saving all men now does it? Seeing that Matthew 25 and Revelation 20 clearly state there will be lost ppl on the day of judgment, He did not save them. That verse does not say He was sacrifice of all men, which is what you are inserting into the text, but Savior of all men. So, you dog won't hunt.

Do you believe the bible?

Of course I do, not quit saying stupid stuff like this, k?

1 Timothy 4:10 (KJV 1900) — 10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.

Great vs. You just make it say what you want it to say. But carry on!!

What does exhaustive determinism mean? LOL Think and get back to me.

Why are you running from the text

What about the offering did the Father reject for those who don't believe??

Does the Provisionist pray for the lost and what is it you would have God to do?
I've heard a statistic over the years (probably made-up) that the average person who turns to Christ only does say after the fifth or sixth time hearing the gospel. The idea is to encourage evangelism by keeping in mind that we might be only the 3rd or 4th person to share the gospel, and that eventually that 6th person will come along and they will accept it.

But regardless...I think it's true that the average person who becomes a Christian does not do so on the first occasion of hearing the gospel, so in praying for the lost, we could simply be asking God to make sure that the person hears the gospel as many times as it takes for them to accept it without dying before then.
