A synergist prayed thus with himself, "O Lord, I thank you that I am not as other men, since I am better than them, having used my will to make the right decision.".
Meanwhile, a sinner saved by grace prayed to the Lord and said, "O Lord, thank you for having mercy upon me. Thank you for giving me repentance and faith in You; and praise you that salvation is all of grace, not of my will or works.".
As biblical faith denies a reliance upon self
