RCS TELL US WE CANNOT UNDERSTAND SCRIPTURE

The founder of the CC is not the devil.
Then why do you leaders not expose sin, why do they not follow 1 Cor 5:11 with your leaders who are sexually immoral? Why do they teach false Marian doctrines? These things do not come from God Your tree has bad fruit, it is not the good tree. These are things that show who your institution follows and those things are not from Jesus.

We are all evil; there is only one who is good. Peter denied knowing Jesus three times and yet we accept his writings as the inspired word of God.

Your pastors and teachers are teaching false doctrines. Peter warns us of this in his letter:

II Peter 2:1, "But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive opinions..."
My, my, this is the kettle calling the pot black!

My church teaches no "destructive heresies." Our focus is first, last, and always, on Jesus Christ, what He did for us on the cross, and why, that we are saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus our Lord. That we can do nothing to save ourselves; we are helpless to do so. Only in Jesus can we be saved.

But if we teach destructive heresies, then by golly, take yourself to the Lutheran board, and tell us what those heresies are. We would be glad to know, and will be delighted to debate the subject with you. :)

You are right, there is only one who is good--God. Not us, not Peter, not even Mary. Only God.

Peter bitterly regretted his denials and Jesus obviously forgave him. Paul persecuted the early church, having many put in prison. Yet, Jesus forgave him, and Paul became one of the greatest Christisns who ever lived, writing half the NT.

So, what's your point?

Yep just covering up the very evil sins of your leaders. It is no surprise. Peter did that before Pentecost. BEFORE pentecost. Your priests are meant to have had the pentecost experience at confirmation, it obviously failed to work.

Why do RCs who believe in two levels of sin venial and mortal not see their leaders sexual immorality as a mortal sin. They deliberately keep repeating the sin.

By the way once save no longer evil, if you continue to be evil then you are not saved. Scripture is clear once saved we are a new creation. Maybe the problems for RCs is they continue to be the same and do not become a new creation with the mind of Christ.
