So...What Happened with Anthony Morris?

I've heard a lot of things, but what I've heard seems kind of vague.

Did he resign all by himself, or was it a forced resignation, or was he actually "removed" or what? There doesn't seem to be anything like "We thank him for his many years of faithful service" anywhere.

And - I thought Governing Body members were chosen/selected/appointed/whatever by "Jehovah", and were counted as being part of the 144,000 anointed class, and were on the GB for life.

Anybody here have the actual (and verifiable) facts?

From what I've seen and read, he was/is still regarded as a brother; so I guess he wasn't disfellowshipped.

All mortals are imperfect, Any can fall. David was anointed king of Israel, he committed serious sins. King Mannaseh an anointed king was a murderer, sent his own children through the fire to stone gods, etc. He repented God forgave him and restored his kingship. Israel as a nation, fell over and over to false god worship. Perfect angels fell.
One thing for sure. It didn't make Gods 1 religion wrong, it made individuals who with their free will chose to rebel against Gods will. There is no perfection in imperfection.
No clear reason was given why he was removed. Lots of speculation but does that ever make a truth?
