When a person creates an account with twitter they agree to various T&Cs, should they break those then twitter is perfectly within their rights to ban the offender.

It's like conservatives have only just figured out that there are consequences to the things that they say. Say things that are racist, homophobic, sexist, etc. and a person can expect to be labelled as such, and probably have some privileges removed (i.e. having a twitter account).
