The End Times . . . .

What important teaching do Roman Catholics need to know about Christ and the End Times. What are today's Roman Catholics taught about the increased spiritual deception in the end times? What if the future (end times) became the present tomorrow, what percentage of Roman Catholics would be spiritually prepared?

Well to be honest they need to know God is not going to worry about mitigating circumstances when He judges sin.

from what I've read they don't believe in the rapture and they have no idea what is going on in Revelation.

The "end times" and the "rapture" is just another one of those evangelical ides that wasn't in vogue until the 1970's, brought to the fore by writer Hal Lindsay. It is just another false doctrine by you folks. So not only is it the 16th century when you people start making things up, it continues on right into the 20th.

good 'ol Hal! I remember him from the late 70s. he was speaking close to where i lived and I went to it with several other believers. I was a very new believer at the time. It is so amazing what is in scripture that the RCC doesn't teach and denies as His truth. Try reading 1 Thess 4. There is so much like that in scripture that catholics know nothing about. the RCC keeps you all ignorant of God's word.

So not only is it the 16th century when you people start making things up, it continues on right into the 20th.
The RCC is who makes up 'scripture' that is not found written within scripture!

What does the RCC teach about 1 Thess 4? Does it teach anything about it? Another reason the RCC teaches little of what Paul teaches.

1 Thess 4.17 -
17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.

LOL! So the "end times". . . "is just another one of those evangelical ideas that wasn't in vogue until the 1970's and brought to the fore by writer Hal Lindsay." LOL!!! This coming from yet another spiritually deceived Roman Catholic whose religion associates itself with the false appearances of counterfeit christs, just as was forewarned by Jesus - a 'Christ' who is supposedly appearing on altars in Roman Catholic churches all over the world. I am of course referring to the Roman Catholic Eucharistic Jesus that manifests itself by a supernatural 'make-believe' Roman Catholic process, brought into vogue and dubbed in Roman Catholicism as "transubstantiation," which is another false Roman Catholic doctrine based solely on the Vatican's "made-up belief that a Roman Catholic priest has the power to "transform" a bread wafer into the actual presence of Jesus Christ, the Divine Son of God. The RCC even puts this bread wafer on display to be worshiped and adored by Roman Catholics, and this deadly hideous deception continues on via the RCC, right into the 21st century.

Good point. Even if the rapture isn't true (and yes i'm a believer) but 'if' it weren't true we have to ask, between the two false teachings which one is worse? Belief in the rapture is peripheral doctrine. Accept it or deny it, it has no bearing on ones salvation. But the eucharist? Thats a different story. Believing a wafer is god and to worship it is idolatry. Do idolators make it to heaven? Does worshiping a false god get you into heaven?

The 'end times' is false doctrine? Doesn't the bible have a lot to say about the last days or end times? If you don't believe the rapture who cares? Believing or rejecting it has no bearing on your salvation. But it is true. One day millions of believers will be gone. The day after that will be nothing but chaos. Better get ready.

So right on Nondenom! Yep, as you said, those laughing, ignoring and joking about the end times "better get ready." It's one thing that obviously Roman Catholics choose not to see and hear from Jesus own words the warning regarding the deception that Jesus referred to would be very effective and convincing. The Bible warns us that many will be deceived by false appearances and by the miracles that would be associated with them. Satan has so blinded Roman Catholics with the paganistic popularity of worshiping a Eucharistic Jesus that it is on the rise, and this means that millions and millions of people could potentially end up worshiping another Jesus, thus jeopardizing their eternal destiny. The choice and the end result of that choice is theirs.

AMEN and AMEN Mica!

I think that the most obvious reason why the RCC doesn't teach about what Paul writes in 1 Thess 4.17 is because the apostle Paul was a Godly man with a passion for the truth - and that alone makes the RCC throw up it's walls of stone!

I have been told by my rc family members that 1Thes4 refers to the 2nd coming of Jesus.

No surprise they like to believe in false teachings and if you accept end times then you no there is no purgatory. I mean it is easier to ignore this verse:

Acts 2:17

‘And it shall be in the last days,’ God says,
‘That I will pour forth of My Spirit on all mankind;
And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
And your young men shall see visions,
And your old men shall dream dreams;

From the beginning we are told to live each days:

2 Tim 3:1

But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come

what about Rev 9:6

And in those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will long to die, and death flees from them

If'n I recollect correct - from what I've read, not what I was taught by the RCC - the 'church' is a-millennialist, believing things will get better and better, until perfection is reached, and Jesus will then return.

Personally, while I do not agree with the a-mill position, I'm not going to debate it; and, I realize my recollect may be incorrect.

Then I wonder what (if) they're taught what Zechariah 14.4 is about ?

4 On that day his feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives that lies before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west by a very wide valley, so that one half of the Mount shall move northward, and the other half southward.

In 1 Thess 4 it says -

17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.

The rapture is taught in Thessolonians....no professing Christian denies the rapture, there is simply debate on when it happens.

Yes, this is true. It was never played up nor did it all become popular until Mr. Lindsay wrote his book The Late Great Planet Earth. Then all the "ism's" started. Premillennialism, Postmillennialism, and such things as mid-tribulational and amillennial - lot's of things out there. So once again it's take your pick and go on with that.

Yes, I know and I don't deny what it says. What I meant about the words I used earlier ("making things up") was all the things that people came up with what I cited in my previous post. (the ism's)

You don't deny the concept and then don't have the courage to say what you believe. However, you try to belittle what others believe by saying they make things up. Well that would be a case of the pot calling the kettle names - I mean your institution has made up the PV, the Queen of Heaven concept, the literal changing of the bread and wine, the IC and loads of other false claims etc.

just because you didn't hear of it / know of it until he wrote that book doesn't mean that believers didn't know about it. There's much that catholics don't know or hear about because the RCC doesn't teach the truth of scripture. It teaches very little that is found in scripture.
