It is sad that your grandson has been conditioned to believe your nonsense.

It is sad that he is taking a place at university that could go to someone who would benefit from it. If all he does is "memorize their intellectualized bovine excreta long enough to ace-out [A+} their tests, then forget their anti-Christian blather with a glad heart" then what is the point?

He will have literally learnt nothing.

Someone else could go in his place, and even if that person only learns 5% of his course, he will have got more out of than your grandson, for all his supposed high scores. And that just might do something useful with that 5%.

In my experience, the vast majority of what happens in a university classroom has nothing to do with your god. For instance, at my university, the professors in the Agriculture department don't have anything anti-god on their syllabus; it's just not relevant. Same for Mechanical Engineering, Music, Psychology, etc.

There has probably been, at some point in time and somewhere, some professor who ranted against your god in the classroom, but you're acting like it's spread throughout the entire university. It just isn't.

If you have to warn your grandson to steer clear of opposing viewpoints, your beliefs must be extremely weak.
 
I remember when I was 18 my grandfather wrote me a similar letter just before I started University. Looking back it was one of the catalysts that started me down the path to atheism.

I don't think that you letter will have the effect that you intend. If your grandson is smart he'll see through your letter and will realise it is little more than an anti-intellectual rant, completely contrary to his intention to attend college to get an education.

I'm sure that it's true that you wrote the letter. I personally think that it is very silly and misguided for old people to try to mould the thoughts of the young, just as they come of age and start thinking for themselves. A wider course would be to encourage the last to think for himself, to experience as much as possible of different viewpoints and cultures, to mix with people from different backgrounds and do develop a rounded, informed and well-balanced personality. Hopefully, your missive will have exactly the opposite effect to that you intend, and your grandson will develop into a person rather than a shadow clone of his grandfather.

I get the rhetorical point you're trying to make, but we don't know anything about the grandson. I don't think we have any reason to believe he will not become a thoughtful and educated contributor to society as a result of his university admission.

If I were to have read that in high school, my eyes would have grown increasingly larger, and found myself wondering what on earth is Grandpa talking about.

I do however think that at some point I'd be having a sit down with him, and actually asking him questions about it and requesting explanations...

At which point I'm thinking that my relationship with him would help make it more plausible, and then be able to see the wisdom in his sarcasm.

daily news: Today a large number of secular universities have a large
number of secular professors that hate and despise the God of the
Bible and Christianity and God's laws and they launch vicious hate-

For instance, at my university, the professors in the Agriculture department don't have anything anti-god on their syllabus; it's just not relevant. Same for Mechanical Engineering, Music, Psychology, etc.

There has probably been, at some point in time and somewhere, some professor who ranted against your god in the classroom, but you're acting like it's spread throughout the entire university. It just isn't.
