Logical gates aren't "technology", and they're far from new. The gates used in today's computers are technology just like base 10 addition is technology; modern instantiations of them exist, but the concept is ancient.
The computers of today take quantum effects into account when performing non-quantum operations. That does not make them "quantum like" {sic}. You might as well call those same computers "thermodynamic", and be just as accurate.
Quantum computing exists, but it's not practical for common use, nor is it being used for things you personally would see value in. It's got a narrow range of applicability: it performs massively complex calculations very quickly. It isn't going to make surfing the web noticeably faster; it isn't going to make video games better; it wont make Excel spreadsheets any easier.
In short, it aint gonna speed up the formation of a "one world government", and it would be massively ignorant to assume otherwise.
