The traditional Christ of whom they speak is not the Christ of whom I speak. For the Christ of whom I speak as been revealed in this the Dispensation of the Fullness of Times. He together with His Father, appeared to the boy Joseph Smith in the year 1820, and when Joseph left the grove that day, he knew more of the matters of God than all the learned ministers of the gospel of the ages." (Church News, June 20, 1998, p70) Gordon B Hinckley

We Look to Christ 2002 General Conference April

LDS Apostle Bruce McConkie taught that Christians have "a mythical Christ" (Mormon Doctrine, p.269). That means we must decide which faith has the real Christ because somebody clearly has a mythical Christ. Do these faiths have the same Jesus? No, if you read the LDS Ensign. It says Christian Churches worship a different Jesus (May 1977, p.26).

LDS leaders have agreed that Mormonism teaches another Jesus

Jesus is not the same Jesus as what has been taught for two millennia is something agreed upon by several church leaders. For instance, Seventy Bernard P. Brockbank told a general conference audience:
It is true that many of the Christian churches worship a different Jesus Christ than is worshipped by the Mormons or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints” (“The Living Christ,” Ensign (Conference Edition), May 1977, p. 26).

Fifteenth President Gordon B. Hinckley

In bearing testimony of Jesus Christ, President Hinckley spoke of those outside the Church who say Latter-day Saints “do not believe in the traditional Christ.” “No, I don’t. The traditional Christ of whom they speak is not the Christ of whom I speak. For the Christ of whom I speak has been revealed in this the Dispensation of the Fulness of Times. He together with His Father, appeared to the boy Joseph Smith in the year 1820, and when Joseph left the grove that day, he knew more of the nature of God than all the learned ministers of the gospel of the ages” (“Crown of Gospel is Upon Our Heads, Church News, June 20, 1998, p. 7).

Notice that in the Standard Works, Harold B Lee says the birth of a handicapped Child and minorities especially in third world countries is due to their non valiant lives in the pre-existence

"This privilege of obtaining a mortal body on this earth is seemingly so priceless that those in the spirit world, even though unfaithful or not valient, were undoubtedly permitted to take mortal bodies although under penalty of racial or physical or nationalistic limitations...." (Decisions for Successful Living pp 164-165) TLDP: 497- Harold B. Lee

“There is no truth more plainly taught in the Gospel than that our condition in the next world will depend upon the kind of lives we live here. …Is it not just as reasonable to suppose that the conditions in which we now live have been determined by the kind of lives we lived in the pre-existent world of spirits? That the apostles understood this principle is indicated by their question to the Master when the man who was blind from his birth was healed of his blindness, ‘Master, who did sin, this man or his parents that he was born blind?’ (John 9:2.) Now perhaps you will have a partial answer to some of your questions as to why, if God is a just Father, that some of his children are born of an enlightened race and in a time when the Gospel is upon the earth, while others are born of a heathen parentage in a benighted, backward country; and still others are born to parents who have the mark of a black skin with which the seed of Cain were cursed and whose descendants were to be denied the rights of the priesthood of God”

Non-sequitur
That’s not in the standard works either.

Why did you separate out "Son of god AND HIS GODDESS WIFE"?
That was the point.
And as you admit, it's not in the Standard works.

3 One of Three Gods in the Godhead
Biblical

Nope.
The Bible DENIES "three gods".
The Bible denies any more than ONE god (Deut. 4:35,30, Deut. 32:39, 1 Kings 8:60, Ps. 86:10, Isa. 44:6,8, Isa. 45:5,21,22, Isa. 46:9, Mark 12:32, 1 Cor. 8:4, etc. etc.)

6 Atoned for sin on the cross and in the a Garden of Gethsemane
Biblical

Nope.
Atonement "in the Garden of Gethsemane" is UNBIBLICAL.

And since this quote is NOT in the Standard works, why are you quoting it?!
Double standards much?

Who to believe? You? Or actual Church leaders?

So let me see if I understand your position....

You are trying to deny teachings of your "Church leaders", and limit your teaching to the "Standard works", and you defend that by appealing to "Church leaders"?

Do you not see the double standard in that?

Well, @Aaron32, do Mormons worship our God? Do we worship any of your gods? Did our God add you to His Church?

Book of Mormon, 1 Nephi 14:10
10 And he said unto me: Behold there are save two churches only; the one is the church of the Lamb of God, and the other is the church of the devil; wherefore, whoso belongeth not to the church of the Lamb of God belongeth to that great church, which is the mother of abominations; and she is the whore of all the earth.

Well, @Aaron32, do Mormons worship our God?
We worship the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost of the Bible, also known as the Godhead.

Do we worship any of your gods? Did our God add you to His Church?
I can't say for certain who you worship, so I can't really answer that question.

Are the endowments in the Standard Works?
Yes. The word endow has two related meanings: “to bestow a gift” and “to clothe upon.” In 1831 the Lord commanded the Saints to gather in Ohio, with a promise that “there I will give unto you my law; and there you shall be endowed with power from on high” (Doctrine and Covenants 38:32).

McConkie clearly thought worshiping Jesus was wrong :

Using D&C 20:17-19 for support, he said, “We worship the Father and him only and no one else. We do not worship the Son and we do not worship the Holy Ghost. "
