the original Messianic Judaism?

initial Belief is a moment in time
Trust is belief over time

the Faith is belief and trust in God, and in the truth as God has revealed it

God has provided us with the truth, and throughout the entirety of His written word tells us to believe and trust it and Him

John 14:6 "I am the Truth"
Matthew 7:23 "I never knew you" (there was no Relationship)

this season is in some ways hard to watch, and I think the producers said it would be

when Jesus returns to Nazareth -
the pre "reading in the synagogue" encounter with His local rabbi is kinda funny
before the fireworks that follow...
@American Gothic
Have you seen all the episodes of The Chosen?
I watched the final episode last night. The 'walking on the water' scene was pretty epic. I've really enjoyed this series...although season one was definitely my favorite.

hi RR

I've only watched the first 4 so far
inter follower issues and Peter's problems made me sad

I just see Angel Studios has them all on that site for Free, so I can binge watch when I take the time
we have perfect weather right now, so... :)

hope all is well

Levi's second vision - Priesthoods

"while at Bethel I dreamed again, I saw seven men in white raiment
saying to me,
'Arise, put on the robe of priesthood, the crown of righteousness, the breastplate of
understanding, the garment of truth, the diadem of faith, the crown of miracles,
and the ephod of prophecy.'

...the seventh (angel) placed on my head a diadem...
and filled my hands with incense, so that I served as a priest to the Lord.

They said to me 'Levi, your seed will be divided into three branches,
for a sign of the glory of the Lord which is to come

1. the first will be he who has been faithful (Moses)
2. the second will be in the priesthood (Aaronic)
3. the third - a new name will be called over him, because he will arise
as king of Judah, and will establish a new priesthood, after the fashion
of the gentiles, for all the gentiles. His appearing will be unutterable, as an
exalted prophet of the seed of Abraham, our father. (Messiah - a Melchizedekian priest)' "

- testament of Levi

Aaron Budjen does some Q&A stuff
on occasion I hit him up, like I did with this

Q -
"Worship is weird to me - I hate singing, and when people raise their hands...I think it's kinda goofy.
Modern praise music also s@%$s.
What do you think Worship should be? or...what does God want it to be?"

(short) A-
"However you present yourself to your God is your Worship."

"I command you (his children) to obey Levi, because
he will know the law of the Lord, and will create ordinances for judgement,
and sacrifices for Israel until the time of the Messiah, the High Priest
whom the Lord has declared.
I adjure you to by the God of Heaven to be truthful to each other,
and humbly submit to Levi, that you may receive his blessing. (and the rulers God choses - Joseph, Levi and Judah)
For he will bless Israel, and specially Judah, because the Lord chose
him to rule over all the people. We will worship his seed, because
he will die for us in wars visible, and invisible, and will be among you an everlasting king."
- testament of Reuben

due to his sin concerning he did to Bilhah, he says he lost his double inheritance

as Jacob broke up the Kinship and Priesthood for a while
I wonder if those are parts of what he is referring to that he lost

"Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made.
He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one -
And to thy seed, which is Christ.
And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ,
the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect." Galatians 3

also, interesting language in Levi, Reuben, Simeon etc. compared to all of Ephesians 6

religious (and behavior)
I do understand the propensity for people to engage in religiousy behavior.
Popular music/Rock n Roll certainly can have that sort of expression and devotion,
and that has been written about by Academics and Critics as well as been explored
by Artists - Prince, Bozo from U2, The Beatles and The Stones, Led Zep, Madonna, Bob Marley.
There has been some Christiany stuff (or with Christian members) out that isn't deliberately
labeled as Contemporay Christian - U2 (yeah I like them), Trouble, heck, even Black Sabbath have
songs with lyrics that are downright Biblical in nature, even with the Dark image and a
sound that is among the mightiest ever in all Rock or any music.
CC Costa Mesa was sort of ground zero for Christian Rock/Pop, and so it does not bother
me when people tap their toes, sway a bit, raise their hands, dance, even bang their head some
if that is what they feel like doing. Even "moshing" (slam dancing) and stage diving was pioneered by the
Jocks turned Punx from Edison High School and was originally called the HB strut.
I'm also kool with light shows, smoke machines - I don't care.
Do they belong in Sunday service? not really, but other days...why not.
I do think the quality of Music over all has gone down, and I'm not someone who is anti
Electronics, rap, or whatever at all. I like Techno, Dancehall, everything.
So many Rock bands and Rappers today are kinda wack, like so much of popular culture.
The band at one church we go to knows about 5 songs, and plays them every Sunday we go there,
so we deliberately wait in the bookstore/cafe until they are done. Like modern country,
it's a lame version of what could be great if it was just done well.
Some people lately also complain about Hillsong type music, but I don't know enough about that
because I don't follow that stuff.
