the original Messianic Judaism?

I often wonder if there will be skateparks in Heaven
at least we can know our destiny will have a street
"And the twelve gates were twelve pearls, each of the gates made of a single pearl, and the street of the city was pure gold, transparent as glass."
Revelation 21

Bart makes little skate movies
he's the kind of kook that named their kid Odin, but he's still kool
Godly gothy skatepunk kidz are the Future (Slappys are certain tricks on curbs)
"and He said, 'Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.'"
Matthew 18

Looking at Bart Ehrman's "Did Jesus Exist?" book
he's a professor in North Carolina
he is by his own admission specifically against the "fundamentalist, Evangelical" Christian view
but you can learn from your opponents

he roundly rejects the view of Jesus "mythicists" that He was not a historical person
and as a secular scholar he has interesting view about 1st century Judaisms

after discussing Pharisees and Sadducees, he says this about Essenes (Qumran anyway)
"Ironically, the one Jewish group from Jesus' day that we are best informed about happens to be the one
not mentioned in the New Testament" pg. 279

Ehrman views Jesus, and many Jews of that time, as not belonging to any of the four defined groups
(the last being Zealots, called by Josephus the "fourth philosophy")

his view of Jesus is that he was an apocalyptic prophet
and that He, and the Essenes as well, were anticipating the end of the age

I think that is true for both, but not the end of the age as Ehrman might think
from the DSS calendar we can know they were anticipating the end of the age...of Torah

(In the Greco-Roman world)

"People worshipped all the gods that they wanted and chose to.
But not in Judaism. Jews only had one God, and that made them different
from all other peoples.
The God of the Jews was believed by them, and them alone, to have created
the world and ultimately to be sovereign over it.
Jews did not insist that other people worship this God, but He was the only
God for them.

In no small measure, this was because Jews believed that their God had not
only created all things but also chose them...
to be uniquely related to Him." - "Did Jesus Exist?" pg. 272

when talking to fellow Christians who are Arminian types, they sometimes will say
"you just like to think you are chosen!"

And I'm always like, "uh...yeah"

"the epistles of John...were placed in the order first, second, and third
respectively because of the length of the letters.
Chronologically, 3 John was written first, to appeal to Gaius and his pastor.
When this did not work as well as John had hoped, he wrote 2 John to deal
with one specific Gnostic heresy.
When Gnosticism continued to spread, the neighboring bishops asked John
to write a stronger, more detailed letter. John then wrote first John."
- Ken Johnson "Ancient Epistles of John and Jude"

hmmm, I did not know that

"...four mighty angels chained away from all the peoples of the Earth
who will not have power over the agitated one (Antichrist) because of
their conduct, their inadvertent error, and their undecidedness, because
of the great blasphemer (False Prophet)
...He (Messiah) will couple His people to Himself.
He will cut out a great mountain, and from it He will consecrate and
separate between all the nations, those who serve Him and
those who entangle with...
You, Noah, do not be amazed at this dream...

In the morning, I blessed the everlasting God.
I quickly went to Shem, my son, and told him everything,
that thru him the Righteous One would come
and that he (Shem) had to preserve the knowledge and
become the next priest of Most High God.
-
The great warrior coming from the southern part of the land.
with a sickle in His hand and fire with Him...
He will crush all...
..this one is the Mighty Lord..."
- testament of Noah

God gave festivals for Israel to observe
within the rituals performed on these days are types and shadows
that predict events that would happen during the first and second comings
of the Messiah.

festivals
feasts
appointed times
(high) sabbaths

God's people had appointments to gather
at time, place, and with ritual to do

at time of writing it is said to be 10:45pm April 4
so it it by Jewish reckoning Tuesday there already?

on this attempt at Dead Sea Scroll calendar reconstruction
a new Year cycle recently started https://dsscalendar.org/DSS-Greg.php?Y=2022

Passover (Nisan 14) might be Monday night/Tues daytime or Tues night/Wed daytime
I'm not sure which
Day 3 of the week to my understanding
the creator of says it could be day(s) off or maybe even year(s) off
but hopefully is close to accurate

did Jesus and his group already eat and retire to the Garden by now?
or is it the next night?

as I view Lord's Supper as an Ordinance
something should probably be done at least once a year to remember all that went on
and what it means for Israel and also everyone of us in the Messiah
and so why not at this time huh?

if anyone here is doing something to observe somehow I wish them well

The first night of Passover is April 15 this year, which is a friday.

"Job was born at this time. The number of the years of the
life of Job was a sign of the years in Egypt.
-
Job was born at the time of the migration to Egypt
and died the year of the Exodus." - Seder Olam

"and Joseph died, and all his brethren, and all that generation...
now there arose up a new king who knew not Joseph
-
After Levi died, the Egyptians enslaved the Israelites"
- Seder Olam

"the children of Levi refused to serve Pharaoh"
- book of Jasher

"It was 116 years from the death of Levi to the Exodus.
The years of slavery were not more than 116 years
and not less than 86 years, the age of Miriam at the Exodus,
since she is named "the bitterness"..." - Seder Olam

"The Egyptian plagues all happened within a 12 month period"
- Seder Olam

"You find straw in the month of Iyar and since they left Egypt
in the month of Nisan, that makes a full year.
Therefore, the Egyptians endured plagues for 12 months.
Job also experienced his plagues for 12 months."
- Seder Olam

"Just as you count the days and nights so you can count the months.
The future judgement of Gog and Magog will last for 12 months."
- Seder Olam

(the Pharaoh that Joseph worked for is clearly not the one that enslaved them
and the Pharaoh that enslaved them and then the Pharaoh of the Exodus might be two
different individuals as well
book of Jasher says the Egyptians got scared of Israel's potential after a war between Egypt and Edomites/Ishmaelites
during which the Israelites fighting with Egypt showed their numbers and prowess in battle
some view Exodus Pharaoh as being Pepe II, who ruled from childhood for 90 something years - a long time, of course contested)

(ooop, my bad
in that view Pharaoh of Exodus is a son of Pepe II
possibly co-ruler towards the end of the previous
there possibly then follows a female ruler, there being "issues" with the males
of course it's confusing, why would it not be)

"And...Levi, the son of Jacob, died..."

"And it came to pass in those days...that
Pharoah king of Egypt died, and...his son
reigned in his stead..."

"... he reigned 94 years, and all Egypt called his
name Pharaoh..." (Pepe II?)

"..and after all the Egyptians had withdrawn from the children
of Israel, they returned and became oppressors and officers
over them, and some of them stood over the children of
Israel as taskmasters..."

"...and the Egyptians did in this manner to the children
of Israel day by day..."

"...There was a man in the land of Egypt of the seed of Levi,
whose name was Amram...
and this man went and took a wife..."

"And the woman conceived and bare a daughter and she
called her name Miriam..."

"And she conceived again and bare a son and she called his
name Aaron..."

Pharaoh dreams that a son would be born to Israel who will
destroy Egypt and it's inhabitants... - Jasher, ch. 67

"And it was at that time that the spirit of God was upon
Miriam the daughter of Amram...
and she went forth and prophecied about the house, saying
'Behold, a son will be born unto us from my father and mother
this time, and he will save Israel from the hands of Egypt'..."

"And at the end of seven months from her conception she
brought forth a son.." (Moses)

"...in those days the Egyptians conspired to destroy all the
Hebrews there." ch 68

dynasties 1and2, 3and4, 5and6
existed at same times
when rule is "all Egypt" it includes both

1,3,6 at Memphis (north/lower Egypt)
2,4,5 at Elephantine/Abu (south/upper Egypt)

dynasty 6 is what got wiped out with the plagues
5 continued for about 24ish years according to Jasher

"The true study of the Law, which He revealed thru the hand of Moses,
must be in keeping with everything revealed from Age to Age thru
what the prophets have revealed by the Holy Spirit.
When the community returns to Israel, as predicted,
they are to separate their dwelling from the men of sin (Sadducees/Pharisees ?)
in order to prepare His Way, as it is written..." Community Rule commentary

"The voice of him who cries in the desert 'Prepare the
Way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a
highway for our God.'" Isaiah 40:3

"The law and the prophets were until John..."
"They have Moses and the Propets, let them here them"
"If they do not hear Moses and the prophets,
neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead."
Luke 16
