the constant barrage of questions are not apologetics but diversion tactics. They are deflecting away from defending theor faith/position with questions. Its a tactic of debate/rhetoric when one cannot defend themselves.

... which is why YOUR side is asking questions constantly, to try to control the discussion.
We don't need to "defend" our position.
We're not trying to convince you that Calvinism is true.
But if YOU are trying to convince us that YOUR beliefs are true, then YOU need to defend YOUR beliefs, rather than trying to attack Calvinism by asking worthless "questions".

the calvinist has all the questions and none of the answers lol.

so much for apologetics ..............

hope this helps !!!

sadly all I appear to have is a "like" button... so many of your posts are funny. but also I don't want to make any feel bad...

i know when I've read through posts on other forums there were numerous emoticons given and it didn't always make one feel good... to see.

- Jacob never used possessions he received as inheritance from the Father with the harlots/ prostitutes;
- Jacob never went to a land of mighty famine; and he never began to be in want.
- Jacob never was sent into any man's fields to feed swine.
- Jacob never would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat:
this earth is babylon. so the above is actually what Jacob is doing...
right now... by enjoying this world...

What? by enjoying this world?
- starving in the land of your inheritance?
- working in the fields feeding swine?
- filling his belly with the husks that the swine did eat?

Again your interpretation is not true, but false.
Will be you to try to invent another fake?

I would say it’s more like an illusion but it’s real/ tangible. That’s the attraction with illusions / fantasy . Just look at what Walt Disney created for the world to enjoy . Fantasy , illusions , a make believe alter reality . And the god of this world is having his way with the deceptions , snares and traps of this world and it’s false security.

The earth is not an idol, it's false. You are of the earth dominated and ruled by the ancient Serpent called Devil and Satan, the father of lies from the beginning --> ... he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: - John 3:v.31.

1 John 5:v.7
- There are THREE that bear record / testify in heaven (heaven has nothing to do with sky), the Father (GOD Father, Father of JESUS and of the legitimate prodigal son), the Word (the Word made flesh-JESUS), and the holy Spirit (who is not a ghost as is written in English language, but a Person - the Paraclete, the Comfort - 1 Corinthians 15:v.26 and 16:v.7-15 and Revelation 6:v.2)

Luke 15:11-32
And he said, “There was a man who had two sons. 12 And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of property that is coming to me.’ And he divided his property between them. 13 Not many days later, the younger son gathered all he had and took a journey into a far country, and there he squandered his property in reckless living. 14 And when he had spent everything, a severe famine arose in that country, and he began to be in need. 15 So he went and hired himself out to one of the citizens of that country, who sent him into his fields to feed pigs. 16 And he was longing to be fed with the pods that the pigs ate, and no one gave him anything.

17 “But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father's hired servants have more than enough bread, but I perish here with hunger! 18 I will arise and go to my father, and I will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Treat me as one of your hired servants.”’ 20 And he arose and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him. 21 And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ 22 But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring quickly the best robe, and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet. 23 And bring the fattened calf and kill it, and let us eat and celebrate. 24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.’ And they began to celebrate.

25 “Now his older son was in the field, and as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. 26 And he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. 27 And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf, because he has received him back safe and sound.’ 28 But he was angry and refused to go in. His father came out and entreated him, 29 but he answered his father, ‘Look, these many years I have served you, and I never disobeyed your command, yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might celebrate with my friends. 30 But when this son of yours came, who has devoured your property with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him!’ 31 And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours. 32 It was fitting to celebrate and be glad, for this your brother was dead, and is alive; he was lost, and is found.’”

Now notice that the Son was the following :

A ) he was dead
B ) he was lost

So we have a dead son who was lost and on his own realized that he was better off as a slave back at his Fathers house. So as one who is dead he realized his lost state and was able to make his own decision to repent and return to his Fathers house and become a servant. This is the opposite of what Calvinists teach.

We know that Salvation is of the Lord . We know that the Father was not obligated to forgive and restore the son. The son recognized his sin and repented of it and his Father forgave and restored him. The son humbled himself, God didn't, the son repented, God didn't do that for him by granting it to him, the dead son retuned home, the Father did not call him home. The Father restored the son after the son repented . Calvinists conflate Gods salvation( Savior ) and mans responsibility to humble themselves and repent of their sin.

Another teaching of Jesus that refutes ? Nothing He taught supports it, truly remarkable someone could believe tulip ? over Jesus . Unbelievable.

Jesus teaching on dead refutes Calvinism and total inability , lost etc !!!

Well, you'd know since you claimed to believe it for "over 4 decades"!

Jesus teaching on dead refutes Calvinism and total inability , lost etc !!!

John 6:44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.

John 6:65 And he said, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father.”

John 8:43 Why do you not understand what I say? It is because you cannot bear to hear my word.

Matt. 12:34 You brood of vipers! How can you speak good, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

i think there is a context to inability..

we are imprisoned here, hence we are totally unfree...
and helpless... and have no ability to 'escape' sin on our own..
sin being this very earth and body... the 'flesh'....
because of adam's crime.

yet God allows souls who are His to hear Him...
and come to Him..
though some will still refuse.. (for a time?)
in that sense, God gives the soul her free will to choose
because He wants a relationship and for us to cooperate...
not forced robots... and contrary to that
satan spends all his time trying to create
any obstacle to force separate a soul from hearing Him...

The evil or sin is always the first commandment "have no other gods"...
all the other sins or evil derive from having other gods..
that is, listening to satan instead of listening to God.

so the free choice is very small...
and even non-existent...
and coming to Him would be impossible unless He likes you.

the problem with free will-ism and determin-ism
is that both (as construed) are dualistic
satanic types of constructs (tree of good and evil type thinking)

there of are dire consequences to not listening to Him...
which He allows as a situation...
i.e., the satanic 'free will' to disobey him and listen to the Own Self instead.

@4Him here is another example where dead doesn't mean what you claim. He was dead yet came to his senses on his own without the father dragging him back, drawing him, seeking him etc......

Actually, it's an example of a lost sheep repenting and returning to the father....the son had his eyes on his father....just like His sheep fall into sin at times, we return to Him, our Father. We aren't dead in sin because we stumble at time.

Stop dragging up dead threads.
