The Value of Evangelism in Reform Theology

you need to accept the fact both can be true because scripture does not contradict itself

John 3:16 —KJV
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

1 John 4:8 —KJV
“He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.”

1 John 4:16 —KJV
“And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.”

Matt. 5:44–48 —KJV
“But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.”
Its not right to tell sinners God Loves them when in fact they may be among the sinners God hates Ps 5:5 Now its ok to tell people God Loves sinners, but to say all sinners is absolutely wrong and without scripture warrant !

John did by proclaiming God's love for the world

Nowhere did anyone in scripture evangelism tell a individual that God Loves them. Jn 3 16 doesn't say that to a particular individual, for God does love the world of His Own Jn 13:1

Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.

That accounts for Gods Love to the World, His Own Sheep !

It says it to the world which is every particular person

Cant be every particular person since it doesnt say that. And besides folk in Ps 5:5 are excluded as well as easu Rom 9. God hated him personally Mal 1. So you are really being careless with the word of righteousness !

Yeah He Loved the World of His Own Jn 13:1

Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.

You ignored this

and did not respond to the fact God loved Israel and all were not sheep

Loving your own is not a statement you love no other

He Loved His Sheep in Israel the remnant according to the election of Grace. That was a different Israel

To go beyond that is speculation, just like it is to go beyond the specific statement of who Jesus said He layed down His Life for
Not when we read God loved the world and Christ tells everyone to love your neighbor so you can be like your Father in heaven

Hello

Sorry, but "κοσμος" does NOT mean "every particular person".
How would you know

You thought it was a reference to a place

b. of all mankind, but especially of believers, as the object of God’s love J 3:16, 17c; 6:33, 51; 12:47.

William Arndt et al., A Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament and Other Early Christian Literature : A Translation and Adaption of the Fourth Revised and Augmented Edition of Walter Bauer’s Griechisch-Deutsches Worterbuch Zu Den Schrift En Des Neuen Testaments Und Der Ubrigen Urchristlichen Literatur (Chicago: University of Chicago Press, 1979), 446.

Israel and Sheep are the same Matt 15 24

But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel

Hello
Christ is specific about who He died for. All the Sheep which constitutes the World. It's simple the World of the believing Sheep

Never say the sheep alone

I like red skittles does not mean I don't like blue skittles

Your logic is defective

Sorry world is a bigger term than sheep

and includes those who will never believe

John 12:47 —KJV
“And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.”

You don't go by what scripture does not say but what it says, especially when it is specific. Christ specifically said He died for the Sheep. Beyond that you are speculating. That is not faith in the word of God!
