The Words of Job

Proverbs 1:1
The proverbs of Solomon the son of David,
king of Israel;

2 To know wisdom and instruction;
to perceive the words of understanding;

3 To receive the instruction of wisdom,
justice, and judgment, and equity;

4 To give subtilty to the simple,
to the young man knowledge and discretion.

5 A wise man will hear, and will increase learning;
and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:

6 To understand a proverb, and the interpretation;
the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.

My son, hear the instruction of thy father,
and forsake not the law of thy mother:

-------Wisdom-----
so who is this Lady known as Wisdom

Paul says
But Jerusalem which is above is free,
which is the mother of us all
.

Wisdom crieth without;
she uttereth her voice in the streets:
21 She crieth in the chief place of concourse,
in the openings of the gates:
in the city she uttereth her words,
saying,

22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity?
and the scorners delight in their scorning,
and fools hate knowledge?
23 Turn you at my reproof:
behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you,
I will make known my words unto you.

24 Because I have called, and ye refused;
I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;
25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel,
and would none of my reproof:

26 I also will laugh at your calamity;
I will mock when your fear cometh;
27 When your fear cometh as desolation,
and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind;
when distress and anguish cometh upon you.

28 Then shall they call upon me,
but I will not answer;
they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:

29 For that they hated knowledge,
and did not choose the fear of the Lord:
30 They would none of my counsel:
they despised all my reproof.
31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way,
and be filled with their own devices.

32 For the turning away of the simple shall slay them,
and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.
33 But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely,

and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

Proverbs 8:22
The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his way,
before his works of old.

23 I was set up from everlasting,
from the beginning, or ever the earth was.

24 When there were no depths, I was brought forth;
when there were no fountains abounding with water.
25 Before the mountains were settled,
before the hills was I brought forth:
26 While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields,
nor the highest part of the dust of the world.

27 When he prepared the heavens, I was there:
when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:
28 When he established the clouds above:
when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:

29 When he gave to the sea his decree,
that the waters should not pass his commandment:
when he appointed the foundations of the earth:

30 Then I was by him, as one brought up with him:
and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;

31 Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth;
and my delights were with the sons of men.

My son, hear the instruction of thy father,

and forsake not the law of thy mother:

the 1st of the 7 Parables Christ Spake in Matt.13 was about these folks

And he spake many things unto them in parables,
saying,
Behold, a sower went forth to sow;
4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side,

and the fowls came and devoured them up:
........................

Mk. 4:9
And he said unto them,
He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
now he asks his disciples this

And he said unto them,
Know ye not this parable?
o_O
how then will ye know all parables?

14 The sower soweth the word.
15 And these are they by the way side,

where the word is sown;

so Michael
Who are these "Waysiders"

Moreover Job continued his parable,
and said, .........

If you want to know who
these are they by the way side,

Job will tell you
you can start here

Job 12:1

And Job answered and said,
2 No doubt but ye are the people,
and wisdom shall die with you.

Behold, a sower went forth to sow;
4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side,

and the fowls came and devoured them up:
Rev.18:2
Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen,
and is become the habitation of devils,
and the hold of every foul spirit,
and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

You pretty much answered your own question.

But you left out a couple of key verses ...

AV Mt 7:13-14 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide [is] the gate, and broad [is] the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow [is] the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

They are not on "the way" "to destruction", but neither are they on "the way" "unto life".

They need to make a decision soon or "and the fowls came and devoured them up" to be lost.

AV Jn 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Jesus said it plainly here. So they need to choose a "side" and go through that "the way".

No Michael;
the question was not about the Gate nor Strait is the Way
that is found Moses (Genesis) and a subject for another thread
Remember ye the law of Moses my servant,
which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel,
with the statutes and judgments.

The Question was and still is
Who are these :devilish: "Waysiders" :devilish:

And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
