Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.

Well let's see how that logic works for other scripture. Jesus said, "Very truly, I tell you, anyone who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life, and does not come under judgment, but has passed from death to life."

Of course--but did Jesus say here that being subject to the Pope and believing the 4 Marian dogmas are necessary for salvation?
So you cannot deny that Christ promised that anyone who hears his word and believes him who sent him has eternal life.

Sure, believing in Jesus Christ as Lord and God and Savior and trusting in Him only for salvation, great and free, is exactly how we are saved! :)
Catholics hear Christ's words and we believe him who sent him so we have eternal life.

Oh, really? Then why all of the added-on dogmas that one must believe to be saved--like being subject to the Pope and believing in the 4 Marian dogmas?
You cannot deny that your church teaches that not all who hears Christ's word and believes him who sent him has eternal life.

Huh? If this is about TULIP then it is off topic for this board and I won't discuss it.
So either Jesus Christ is a liar ....OR...Catholics have eternal life.
No, Christ isn't a liar, but your church does teach lies--like that one must be subject to the pope in order to be saved, AND believe in the 4 Marian dogmas...but where did Jesus teach believing in these things is necessary for salvation?

So either Jesus Christ is a liar ....OR...Catholics have eternal life.

It is more important to believe God than it is to believe an institution. God does NOT lie, man does. Which is why we non-rc's choose to follow Jesus, and NOT the rcc. You do not know Jesus. If you did, you would not have made the statement above. Rc's do NOT know Jesus, and from what you say in your posts, you don't trust Him with your life.

I cited Scripture. If you can refute a word I said, then please try.

You cannot deny that Christ promised that all who consume Him are guaranteed eternal life.
You cannot deny that your church teaches that NOT all who consume their Eucharists are guaranteed eternal life.

So either Jesus Christ is a liar....OR...your Eucharists are not Jesus.

Pick.

Well let's see how that logic works for other scripture.

My logic works for all Scripture...and you totally dodged what I posted.

We know why.

Jesus said, "Very truly, I tell you, anyone who hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life, and does not come under judgment, but has passed from death to life."

So you cannot deny that Christ promised that anyone who hears his word and believes him who sent him has eternal life.

I agree all who trust in God have eternal life....no matter who they are.

So back to what I posted. Which is it?

Yes, it was a prophetic act signifying impending judgment and death.

I am confident that I have.
And does it have any implication towards you? No?
But as a Christian, you were obligated by Christ to receive the Eucharist when He said "Do this in memory of Me."

Posters;
pilgrim is 100% correct
But this Eucharist pilgrim speaks of
is not the Passover
But of straight out of
"The Fields of Gomorrah"

pilgrim;

Paul says
"At the Appointed /appropriate time"
not just any Ole Day

------The Passover foreshadowed---

as they were to eat the Passover in Egypt
Shoes on, Staff in hand, all of the household inside
even those of the Egyptians

And the Lord appeared unto him
Abraham
in the plains of Mamre:
and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;

And there came two angels to Sodom at even;
(at the going down of the Sun)
and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom:
and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them;
and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;

Lot invites / Pleads them into his Home

Luke says
And, behold,
two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus,
which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.
.....
And they drew nigh unto the village,
whither they went:
and he made as though he would have gone further.
29 But they constrained him,
saying,
Abide with us: for it is toward evening,
and the day is far spent.
And he went in to tarry with them.
And it came to pass,
as he sat at meat with them,
he took bread, and blessed it, and brake,
and gave to them.

-------------------

And he (LOT) pressed upon them greatly;
and they turned in unto him,
and entered into his house;
and he made them a feast,
and did bake unleavened bread,
and they did eat.

Now all Dem Dar Sodomites want in
but for all the wrong reasons

and Lot goes out the door
Pilgrim;
see my Buddy Job
he will explain it to you

Now what is Lot Told to do ????????
Go, go now; get all your family
even your friends

And the men said unto Lot,
Hast thou here any besides?
son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters,
and whatsoever thou hast in the city,
bring them out of this place:

and Lot goes out the door again
Pilgrim;
see my Buddy Job
he will explain it to you also

And Lot went out,
and spake unto his sons in law,
which married his daughters,
and said,
Up, get you out of this place;
for the Lord will destroy this city.
But he seemed as one that mocked unto his sons in law.

and Lot gets dragged out, kickin and screamin
And when the morning arose,
then the angels hastened Lot,
saying,
Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters,
which are here;
lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.
16 And while he lingered,
the men laid hold upon his hand,
and upon the hand of his wife,
and upon the hand of his two daughters;
the Lord being merciful unto him:
and they brought him forth,
and set him without the city.

so sayth Jude
And of some have compassion,
making a difference:

23 And others save with fear,
pulling them out of the fire;
hating even the garment spotted by the flesh

OK posters;
let me sum it all up

the reason these RCC'ers are so blind to the message
But the court which is without the temple leave out,
and measure it not;
for it is given unto the Gentiles:
and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

Paul says
these things will happen
at the appointed / or correct time
