Titus 3:5 exposes the anomalous dilemma of Calvinism.

Dead people can't do anything, let alone understand and believe Spiritual things. They are hostile toward God, cannot submit to His commands and cannot please God (Rom 8:6-8).
Sure they can lol all the unregenerate, unbelievers that were dead who believed Jesus .

oops

Enjoy the forum while I enjoy Gods creation at the golf ⛳️ course . Adios amigo :)

Spanos GC here we come :)

1) Why do you misinterpret the verse by including “regeneration” TWICE, even though it’s only mentiond ONCE?
Calvinism demands that STEP 1 is a regeneration.
You have STEP 3 as "God saves us" which Titus 3:5 says it's by regeneration and by renewing of the Holy Spirit.
2) Why do you try to insist on forcing Calvinists to accept your misinterpretation?
3) Calvinists only believe in ONE regeneration.
Then why do Calvinists practice 2 regenerations and 2 saves?

You haven't answered my question: How do we proceed to resolve this anomalous dilemma?

Yes, salvation is by regeneration.
That's ONE regeneration leading to ONE salvation.

Then why do Calvinists practice 2 regenerations and 2 saves?

We don't.

You haven't answered my question:

Because your questions contain false premises.

How do we proceed to resolve this anomalous dilemma?

How about you stop MISREPRESENTING what we believe?
That would resolve it.

Paul places himself in ,Eph 8:6-8by calling himself "carnal" in Rom 7:14. Since Paul can most certainly believe then so can all those others dead that Paul grouped himself in. This doesn't mean they all end up believing like Paul does.
LOL...If you say so. (U mite reread your post)

A Calvinist Poster offered the following list as to how Calvinists are saved:

God regenerates us.
Then we believe.
THEN God saves us.

Let's import Titus 3:5 into the above Calvinist theory of salvation and see what transpires.

(Titus 3:5) not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,

STEP 1: "God regenerates us" becomes through the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, God saved us.
STEP 2: "Then we believe" stays the same.
STEP 3: "THEN God saves us" becomes God saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit.

Note: In no way are we conflating salvation and regeneration, just following what Titus 3:5 says.

We immediately see 2 massive anomalous flaws with Calvinist theory of salvation:
  • The Calvinist is saved twice, making them the Twice Saved.
  • The Calvinist is regenerated twice, making them the RE-regenerated.
So how do we proceed to resolve this anomalous dilemma? The only way is to remove step 1 or step 3 from the Calvinist theory of salvation. Which step do we take out?

Hint: This is the Biblical Way of salvation:
  1. We Believe
  2. Gods saves us through the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit (Titus 3:5)
There is no conflating. It's all part of the same process

I never realized Romans 7:14 contains only one word.

I smell a pretext coming. 🙂

Cool, you noticed that regeneration came first. Then came the renewal of the Holy Spirit. And it was according to HIS mercy, not our choice. You got it all here.

You may want to get your eyes checked. Jesus called it born again, not regenerated. Regenerated, faith/belief, born again in the Spirit. Conception, faith/belief, born again.
So how do we proceed to resolve this anomalous dilemma? The only way is to remove step 1 or step 3 from the Calvinist theory of salvation. Which step do we take out?
Well, we burn your strawman for you, and take you directly to the rock, something you can't burn.
