It is the risen Lord who received from the Father the promise of the Holy and subsequently pours it out on all flesh in baptism into Him. See Acts 2.
So in your teaching is the second part of Acts 2:38 optional? ...and each one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, ...
Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? Rom 6:3

I have no idea what you mean by optional but the disciples who were going to go out unto all the world were promised that, "the one who believed and was baptized shall be saved," and that is how they carried out their commission, by baptizing and teaching. Since those two participles in Matthew 28:19 inform us of the web disciple then if a person is not doing that then he is not making disciples in the Christian context of Matthew 28:19ff.

That's more out of context Scripture bingo! The funny part is that none of them modify or deny that baptism does now save you through the resurrection of Christ.

Don't fear God's word according to the context in which it was given. It is how you too will one day rightly learn of Christ and His work for all men, this necessarily includes you.

eve is completely innocent.
Before she listened and acted on the serpent words, at that point of believing the serpent's words, she became guilty of believing a lie, and is no longer innocent.

I see this as a virgin getting pregnant by believing the words of the man who made her pregnant, before marriage. This woman is no longer innocent.
God gave the command to adam, as her protector. And only to adam. Adam is a fool.
"God gave the command to adam, as her protector. And only to adam.", No doubt there.
AV Gn 2:16-17 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

"Adam is a fool.", That is your opinion to shared here at CARM.
AV Gn 3:2-3 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3 But of the fruit of the tree which [is] in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

At some point, Adam had to of told Eve, so who acted foolishly with GOD's Words ???
God showed me this…
How then ???

How can we tell if a prophet is a true prophet of God? Many people have said that God spoke to or through them. How do we discern that this is so?

Just wonderin',
--Rich

BTW, I am not a cessationist, per se.
The Old Testament give the clear answer:
Deu 18:21 And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken?
22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.

And it the old testament you also KILLED the false prophet.

It it goes along with the Letter, and the TENOR of Scripture, could be "prophet" is O.K.

But NOBODY HAS ANY GIFT. The Holy Spirit temporarily Gifts people, and enables them to move in God's power.

Start here….that sight and speech belong to God’s realm.
Sight and Speech are the male attribute of God. God spoke the Word. He said His creation is good.
Speech is the meaning of rule.
To speak Reality into being.

After adam failed to protect eve - his job as male and therefore his sin to fail to do - the satan realm began to speak ‘realities’…
after all the first adam had been given ‘dominion’ and speech by God. He could name the animals. As Male, the fall is entirely Adam’s fault...even if eve did touch the satan realm.

Adam is the fool.

any day now is the Change and the 144k will be restored to our Rest, which is Eden,
that restoration being why God gave us His Words ... to save from here and restore us to Him.

So how did True Prophets get murdered by the so-called GOD's people ???

Yours in Christ, Michael
the people did not listen to the prophets and got cursed…went into captivity.
and the vision was sealed.

the 144k today do listen
and will have their Change …for they understood His Words.
and it’s any day now…

most
believers though do not listen Him..
modern christianity (all denominations including yours) being the man of lawlessness.

many believers will suffer tribulation…
before being saved from here.

of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 2 Cor 4:6
After adam failed to protect eve - his job as male and therefore his sin to fail to do - the satan realm began to speak ‘realities’…
How long will you love delusions? Know that the Lord has set apart his faithful servant for himself; Ps 4:1-3
As Male, the fall is entirely Adam’s fault...even if eve did touch the satan realm. Adam is the fool.
The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left. Eccl 10:2
and the vision was sealed.
Where there is no vision [no redemptive revelation of God], the people perish; Proverbs 29:18
The wisdom of their wise men will perish; Isa 29:14
Our hope has perished. We are completely cut off; Ezek 37:11
the 144k today do listen and will have their Change …for they understood His Words.
Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand. Dan 12:10

Except the Lord of hosts had reserved unto us even a remnant, we should have been as Sodom and like Gomorrah. Isa 1:9

Where do you get this idea that sight and speech are male attributes? Was Eve blind? Was Eve dumb?

Eve did not sin? Genesis 3 makes clear that she knew that to eat the fruit of the tree was wrong. How can you claim that Eve did not sin?

The way that you word things would have me believe that you don't care much for men.

The command was only given to adam.
it was adam’s job to protect her.

meant was not physical senses in the current body.
Male has, per genesis, rule over eden which is sight and speech.

Sight: vision , context
Speech: executive power.

If anything the feminists would be upset.

The command was only given to adam.
it was adam’s job to protect her.
That dog don't hunt. Eve was well aware that neither of them were to eat the fruit of the tree. And she didn't say, "Adam said", she said, "God said".

And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden, but God said, ‘You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.’” Genesis 3:2-3 ESV

Eve made the conscious decision to eat the fruit.

So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate. Genesis 3:6 ESV

Adam tried to kick Eve under the bus, and then Eve tried to pass the buck off to the serpant.

The man said, “The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate.” Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this that you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.” Genesis 3:12-13 ESV

God wasn't buying any of that and rendered a judgement against all three.
