Trump takes the fifth in NY deposition

She deleted 30k emails, tried to bleach the server clean, an UNSECURED server in her home that was hacked and hammered blackberries....yea, she had nothing to hide...said no sane person ever.
Why didn't Trump while he had full control bring her to justice?

Yes, it was a pity. The Constitution, especially the Bill of Rights exists to protect the individual from overzealous government.
And those individuals could then be indicted for contempt of Congress and sent to jail. Not to mention losing their jobs and being black-listed.

Why didn't Trump while he had full control bring her to justice?
Trump and the GOP has gone full circle: from chants of "lock her up" and a broken election promise that Trump would appoint a "special prosecutor" on the day he took office to investigate Hillary, to the current calls to defund the FBI and the DOJ. Apparently, Trump is enraged that he might be held to account for repeatedly breaking the law.

"Hillary has worked very long and very hard over a long period of time, and we owe her a major debt of gratitude for her service to our country.”- Donald Trump acceptance speech, November 9, 2016

No, I am not. I would never criticize someone for someone for using their constitutional rights. Not Trump, not a Democrat, or not a Mafioso. Did Trump say others should not use the 5th? If he did, then him now doing so makes him look like a hypocrite, no?

Yes. I agree. As long as you apply this equally, I'm fine. Most people do not.

Trump was trying tom be a statesman with that quote. The election was over and it was time for the country to move forward and work together like we always had done. Unfortunately, the #resist crowd did not want to do that, nor Hillary and her friends at the FBI.

If it would have been solely up to him, he would have. Apparently you don't understand how government works.
Nonsense. Either she is innocent or Trump and the Republicans are weak and ineffective.

Allowing possible criminals to run rampant equals weak on crime.

Not nonsense. The President can't just throw someone in jail. Thanks for proving you don't know how the government works.

You mean like all the democrat run states that let criminals run rampant?
It is the democrats that seek to lower bail on people accused of violent crimes, but the poster only criticizes the GOP:

Lookie here, another person who thinks the only options are the extreme ones. Such nonsense.
Those are the options. Trump put his people in place he had full backing of the house and Senate and did not bring her to justice.

Funny how the gimped dems are doing it.

Perhaps Trump is guilty of some crimes? We shall soon see.

Full backing of the House and Senate is an assumption on your part.

Why?
Is Trump above the law? If there is evidence of lawbreaking, shouldn't he be expected to deal with that in formal proceedings?
Why support a candidate who has been credibly accused of multiple serious crimes?
Perhaps Trump did not want Melania underwear drawer rummaged thru by a bunch of armed thugs even if leftist would approve and relish it because they are sickos.

No it's not. The Republicans had majority in the House and the Senate.

Irrelevant. That doesn't mean you get the support of them for whatever you want to do.

Plus it's not congress that prosecutes people, so your point is pretty moot.

After employing many delaying tactics, Trump was required to sit for a deposition in a case dealing with financial shenanigans over the wildly different valuations of his properties used for purposes of taxation or obtaining loans.

He took the fifth, refusing to answer questions.

Remember when he said that innocent people never take the fifth?

Good for him. Very smart move. Tell us why trump should contribute to his own prosecution. The innocent have no more reason to talk than the guilty.
