The United Nations has placed a giant statue in New York that resembles an end-times "beast" from the New Testament's book of Revelation.

The U.N. recently tweeted a photo of the statue.

"A guardian for international peace and security sits on the Visitor's Plaza outside #UN Headquarters. The guardian is a fusion of jaguar and eagle and donated by the Government of Oaxaca, Mexico."

Daniel chapter 7:2-4 describes the beast with the body of a lion and wings of an eagle:

Daniel spake and said, "I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea. And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another.

The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings."

The Apostle John described a beast with similar features in the New Testament passage in Revelation 13:2.

"And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority."

Another Bible verse that's evoked by this U.N. statue to "peace and security" comes straight out of an End Times warning from 1 Thessalonians 5:2-3:

"For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. While they are saying, 'Peace and safety!' then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape."

The Bible tells us what the beast with the body of a lion and wings of an eagle represents...

Daniel 7:17... These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth.

The lion with eagle wings are represents one of the four kings/kingdoms which would arise. Most everyone sees the first beast as representing the Babylonian empire.

Thank you for that information.

The point is that the UN placed a statue that represented the beast.
Naming it peace and security was also an interesting parallel.

The UN is the 7 headed beast with 10 horns. Rev describes it as--The one that was( league of nations) is not( death stroke-done away with after ww2) and yet is( death stroke got healed-united nations)--The image of the beast= peace and security. That is why most will worship its image( means put trust into those words fixing mankinds problems) but they cannot. Gods kingdom is the cure all.

No the tribulation begins when the 7 headed beast with 10 horns does away with the whore of babylon( babylon the great)-worldwide religions. The bible teaches God puts it into their hearts to do this. That starts the tribulation. It says the world hands power over to them for 1 hour to do that.

Doesn't that happen in Rev 19 when we're well in the trib?

The fall of Babylon starts the tribulation. Think about that. World religions are done away with. Do you think the people will take it lightly? Rev 19 is about the conclusion of Har-mageddon. Rev 16 explains-With 3 inspired expressions from satans side- EVERY kingdom ( govt, armies, supporters) will be mislead to stand in opposition to Gods king-Jesus. Rev 19: 11 and on is the result as well Daniel 2:44)

"The fall of Babylon starts the tribulation."....I hope you don't mind if I disgree with that.

The tribulation starts with this:
Rev 6:1 Then I watched as the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures say in a thunderous voice, “Come!”

2 So I looked and saw a white horse, and its rider held a bow. And he was given a crown, and he rode out to overcome and conquer.

Rev 6 is the war in heaven-See it says peace was taken from the earth.( world war, not a single war) satan and his angels were cast to the earth- filled mens hearts with hatred=ww1-1914-Jesus sat on the throne(given the crown) this is the presence. Matt 24:37,,2Peter 3:4--After ww1 millions upon millions died all over the earth from things mentioned of the other 3 riders. Notice though Michael fought the war in heaven, the ride continues and then Jesus is shown riding the white horse to earth at Har-mageddon. It is the same ride. Upon Jesus return, he comes with the voice of the archangel( 1Thess 4:16) it is his voice. That ride does not stop until here( 1Cor 15:24-28) Jesus hands back the kingdom to his God and Father and subjects himself.-- God does not have a God nor is he in subjection ever. Jesus is Michael.

I don't believe Rev 6 is war in heaven. Rev 6 starts out with describing what is know as the 4 horsemen.
The rider on the first horse with the crown and bow is not Jesus.

Later on another white horse is mentioned...the rider of this horse is Jesus.
