video of dems protesting electoral votes

The article tries to draw an equivalence between two things that are not equivalent. On one hand we have the Democrats of 2000 and 2004 speaking out about what they saw as irregularities with those elections. Just speaking out, taking no legal action. On the other hand we have the Republican Senators actually talking the legal step of refusing to accept the votes of the electoral college, and Trump himself recorded in an hour-long call with the Georgia GOP Secretary of State alternately cajoling him and threating him to "find 18,000 votes" for him. That is against both Georgia Law and Federal elections law to solicit a fraudulent vote count. These two scenarios are as different as night and day.

No I was just focusing on the objecting part. Huge hypocrisy going on with that.
You are changing the subject.

Ridiculous.

If two people threaten someone's life, and one but not the other goes on to commit assault or murder, do you focus only on the threats and ignore what else was done?

Nice attempted save.
Only they are outraged literally about the exact same thing they once applauded.

No, they are outraged at the 60 court cases and the serious pressures on state election officials to change results and the push by a huge contingent of GOP Congressmen to decertify Biden's election tomorrow. Dems have done nothing comparable.

No, pressure to open the records so Trumps legal team can show them the actual irregularities found. When they are holding the actual evidence in their hand where the Trump team can say, "see this is exactly what we have been saying, then plausible deniability exits the building." The reason the Pennsylvania SOS refuses to do that is that he knows perfectly well what the problems are.

You can say that again. The Dems didn't have the truth on their side.

Yes there is a comparison. The same thing being complained about was applauded when done on there side.
You have not correctly identified what is currently being complained about. It is not the merely protesting the way the election was conducted. It is the unprecedented step of senators rejecting the official count and the President soliciting the Georgia Secretary of State to commit election fraud himself, to "find" just enough votes to win, to "rectify" the things that are being protested.

The unprecedented number of (luckily failed) lawsuits definitely is part of the mix, too. Complaining about fraud while trying to overturn the election.

It's unprecedented, and anyone who pretends this has happened before hates this country.

Um, no they are also specifically crying over the protesting of the electoral. Something that was cheered when their side did it.

That's just false. There is no comparison between what Democrats did in 2000 and 2004 and what the Republicans are doing this time.
I wasn't speaking of some collective claß of actions on some general topic if that's what you mean.

But on certain specific actions that have been individually criticized there most certainly is a direct comparison. As the link demonstrates.

I'm not sure what the word in red was supposed to be.

However, if you want to demonstrate hypocrisy, you have to take it all into account: the actual behavior, the complaint and the context in which the complaint was made. Anything can be made to look hypocritical if you ignore the context...

No, there's not...sorry. What the Trumpites have done in regard to this election is unparalleled in US history and will go down as one of the more deplorable actions in it.
