is not the application of "Word" by John made to Messiah/God the Son?

I was talking about how God must do/does a new creative work within Sinners
not in those who somehow thru some commandments might first stop sinning

"being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;"

someone was suggesting to Aaron Budjen
that we must first -
"repent of all sins" and "surrender to the Lordship of Jesus"

but that puts the work on us in a Law/Old covenant way
rather than the work God is more than able and willing to begin and then finish in us
and would be false editions to Salvation

teachers/institutions who teach that might like the power/control it gives them
keeping people enthralled to sins

Shmuel thinks the Law has magical life giving powers or something

He made us (we do participate in reproducing ourselves)
He then must re-make us

we were born of the flesh and fallen
we must be reborn of the spirit and eventually bodily resurrection/glorification - both His doing completely

Beyond any transgression of commanded law...

Sin is a principle or a nature. as well as an act Matt 15:19

As an act, sin produced guilt; as a principle, it produced pollution Jer 17:9, Luke 6:45

Because sin is both a nature and an act it produces various results -

the understanding of Man is darkened Rom 1:31, 1 Cor 2:14, Eph 4:8

It produces evil and vain imagination Gen 6:5, 12, Rom 1:21

It produces vile affection or passions Rom 1:26-27

It produces corrupt speech Eph 4:29

It produces a defiled mind and conscience Titus 1:15

It produces an enslaved and depraved will Rom 7:18-19

Sin has an absolute character; it is not some vague influence
Matt 10:32-33, 12:30, Luke11:13, Jas 2:10

Sin always has a relationship to God and His will
Rom 1:32, 2:12-14, 4:15, 5:13, Jas 2:9-10

Concerning guilt, it makes Man liable for punishment
Rom 3:19, 5:18, Eph 2:3

Concerning pollution, all men are guilty of moral pollution in Adam,
because they are born of a corrupt nature - there is a disposition towards evil
Job 14:4, Isaiah 6:5, Jer 17:9, Rom 8:5-8, Eph 4:17-19

Sin influences the intellect, the emotion, and the will and
finds it's expression thru the body
Prov 4:23, Jer 17:19, Matt 15:19-20, Luke 6:45, Heb. 3:12

Sin consists of a sinful nature, Matt 5:22-28
sinful state becomes the basis of sinful habits: Rom 7:7
these sinful habits become the basis of sinful deeds Rom 7:17, 24
