What Is Spiritual Empowerment?
Is spiritual empowerment God working through us by God's faith?
Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
It appears that for us to be spiritually empowered God must speak to us and we must hear God speaking. This act in itself provides us the faith to do what God requires of us which is his will.
Thus, if we pray to God and God speaks to us and we hear him then God will work through our prayers. If God is working through us is that spiritual empowerment?
If someone has a spiritual gift or gifts and one operates through the power of these gifts is God speaking to us as we minister through these gifts which requires faith?
The scriptures say it is impossible to please God without faith and that the just shall live by faith. Does that mean God speaks to us and as we hear him God will tell us what to say and do and even think?
How can one who has the gift of healing heal someone unless God gives one the authority to do to do so? Thus, we must hear God to do what God wills to do.
Jas 5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
Is not the Spirit at work in a righteous man who has faith and is God speaking through him even in his prayers?
Heb 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Now, it is the Word of God that is powerful and thus is spiritual empowerment and "quick" means living or alive thus the Spirit is actively speaking and convicts us.
Thus, in conclusion spiritual empowerment is God speaking to us which provides us to harmonize with God's will.
