What news publications do you read?

I read the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and Capitalism Magazine (a free online Objectivist publication).

I also read the website of a local paper to keep up with stuff in my area, although I don't have a subscription to that one.

What about you?

You know, I guess I don't read the news much any more. I used to read the local papers, but not regularly.

I don't read much any more in general. I mostly blame software development for that.

WSJ, NYT, CNN, MSNBC, Daily Wire, WND, National Review, American Thinker, Newsmax...and more.

Ok, thanks for responding.

How do you get your news then? Television?

Various sources. TV is the main one, but I mix in online articles (which does entail reading, obviously) and radio (mostly NPR, various stations [WBUR being the biggie]). I will read a paper when it's available, but like the online articles, this involves scanning for stories I'm interested in.

I'm honestly troubled by my own habits. Print journalism should NOT die, because it remains the gold standard for journalistic integrity. However, I don't support it like I should...

I think technically you are supporting it a little by reading the paper versions and by providing a little advertising revenue when you read the online articles. No?

But to channel Rand for a moment, if you do not find print journalism a personal value, I do not think you are obligated to support it.

Sure, I support print journalism a little, but I think it's not enough.

As for Rand, I wouldn't say I feel an obligation to support print journalism. You're right, in that if I don't enjoy it enough to give it my consumer support, then that's pretty much the end of the story. However, as someone who's NOT particularly politically-active, I think political apathy is bad for my country right now. Its institutions are under attack. There's not much I can do about the federal government (because I'm just one person), but when it comes to something like journalistic integrity, I need to care more. I need to support the things I care about.

Maybe it's just a semantic objection to say I feel no "obligation".

Either way, I'm heading to the store to buy a paper...

Got it, thanks.

Which of those do you recommend? I really like the WSJ, personally.
Daily Wire and American Thinker are the best, in my not-so-humble opinion. I'm done with CNN, MSNBC, and NYT. Leftist propaganda, and I'm about to vomit from it. I just read it to see how misleading they are.

Daily Caller is good, too.

World Net Daily is a refreshing take, as well.

I'm just sick of the sheep who follow CNN.

Yes, CNN, that's an apple, but why do you keep calling it an orange???
