Agreed. We are in this world as a man, but we are not of it spiritually, but these are in this world and the world dictates to them the ways of this world, a man as a god. As man He said all that, but as God the Word of John 1:1 He said He is " I Am " in John 8:58 in conjunction with Exodus 3:14 He said He is Alfa & Omega in Rev. chapter 22 verse 13! Thus you MUST now know that He is both God the Word ( John 1:1 ) and Jesus Christ ( the Flesh that God the Word became in John 1:14!
