Who came up with the idea that Mormons have to earn eternal life?

1 John 4:16

If one of the attributes of God is unconditional love then why was that that the intention of God the Father the atonement of Jesus Christ is only efficacious for the elect, thereby leading them without fail to salvation?

1 John 4:16
16
So we have known and believe the love that God has for us.God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God,and God abides in them.

GOD HATES THE WORKERS OF INIQUITY:

Psalm 5
4 For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.
5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

There will be no no sinners in heaven. His love is for the ones He has given new birth and conformed to the image of Christ. We can't boast about the good works that He has done because of His mercy. No one deserves His mercy.

Read the New Testament.

2 Peter 3:9
9
The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you,not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
So are you now a universalist?

God was extremely patient with me, the SLOW learner who stayed in Mormonism for years. ALL the sheep will eventually come out.

Baptism is a witness to others that we know Jesus saved us.

His blood already washed away our sins and gave us new life. He quickened us. Ephesians 2:1-10
Really, wonder why it also claims that unless you are baptized one cannot enter the kingdom of God... wow!

Matthew 23:37
37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, murdering the prophets and stoning those who are sent to you! How often would I have gathered your children together as a mother fowl gathers her brood under her wings, and you refused!

John 3:16
16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

God saves. Man can't save himself.
Ephesian 2
1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: 3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 EVEN WHEN WE WERE DEAD IN SINS HATH QUICKENED US TOGETHER WITH CHRIST, (BY GRACE YE ARE SAVED) 6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: 7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Baptism is a witness to others that we know Jesus saved us.
Baptism is our witness to God that we will follow Jesus. According to Jesus, if one is not baptized, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. It is the first outward expression of faith, believing that through he we can be cleansed of our sins and begin a walk in the newness of life. Clearly, it is far more than a witness to others. It is literally the gate way to the path that leads to eternal life.

Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Galatians 3:26-27

For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

He who does not believe will be condemned. God gave me faith. By God's grace I am saved and will not come into condemnation. The gift of God is eternal life. I have also been baptized in a Christian church.

Christ was the first One to be resurrected by Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Yet if you ask a Evangelical; baptism is not essential, even when the scriptures plainly state one must be baptized... hmm

21 and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

He who does not believe will be condemned
Such a lame statement. He who does not believe what ... Will be condemned? Let's see if u know the right answer.

You know what else? You don't get to decide who qualifies as one who believes. That's the whole problem with modern Christianity. They think they do when they use that self appointed importance in an argument, it's called gaslighting.
