Who invented atheism?

Well, if you bothered looking at the link Torin provided, apparently the first atheist, at least in a modern and explicit sense, would have been Matthias Knutzen c. 1674, although it would be obvious atheism would have been in existence since the time people questioned the existence of God. As soon as the question is asked, a person could have answered "No" and thus atheism would have been born.

Well, scripture is easily castigated.
Theists are too focused on atheists in an effort to distract from the fact they have absolutely no factual evidence to believe the silly things they believe.

Ya that would be the first agnostic probably.

However I can accept Matthias started your religion in 1674, sure.
