Why is the left still fear mongering about Covid?

Not only does Trump claim to be responsible for creating the vaccines, he is encouraging his followers to be vaccinated. Do you denounce Trump for being unspeakably evil for these actions?
You do realize Joey is President now, yes.

I'm actually tired of blaming Carter for gas prices. (get it?)

Soon you will tire (no you won't) of getting anyone to be upset over Trump.

You won't admit you are leftista

When you let them do your thinking for you and drink the left winger koolaid you give us no choice but to observe your leanings.

Example.
Your left winger accent.
"right wing conspiracy blogs" lol.

I fact checked your comment and you are wrong. I use pattern recognition science and you are leftist.

I might add, The :"likes" for your screeds are all CARM leftists. lol

You won't admit you are leftista

Because I am not. I am actually pretty conservative.

One always has a choice to believe what one says about oneself on here, and not pretend to be a mind reader.

Do you fact check any of the stuff you put down on here before posting it?

But I have read articles and info in such places as JAMAInternal Medicine, LifeScience, Scientific American, MedPageToday, etc. And linked to them. Are they fake news sites?
Example.
Your left winger accent.
"right wing conspiracy blogs" lol.

Example: Natural News. Gateway Pundit.

You are incorrect. I am neither a liberal or Socialist or radical.
I might add, The :"likes" for your screeds are all CARM leftists. lol
Unless they come out and say they are left- or right-wingers, I will not presume to pretend to read their hearts and minds

The Left lives on fear. That's how they keep their followers in line. fear of COVID, fear of black people thinking for themselves, fear of responsibility, etc.
So say the people who insist on amassing arsenals of deadly weapons to protect themselves from boogiemen, or home invaders, or people who look at them the wrong way. That is irrational fear.

Responsible people recognize the dangers from a dangerous, spreading virus and take appropriate precautions, especially getting a vaccine that not only protects them, but also the people around them.

Is Trump loudly and repeatedly encouraging his followers to get vaccinated? I missed that.

Only twice that I know of, during a FOX TV interview on March 16, and during an April 22 interview with the New York Post. I think he may have done a blog post about this as well, but since his blog is now lost and gone forever (because of low readership), I can't confirm that.

EDIT: I searched Trump's blog via the google archive, and although there are instances in his blog where he took credit for creating the vaccines, I couldn't find any places where he recommended his followers get vaccinated.

Actually, you and Reepicheep are both right.

www.npr.org/2021/03/16/978008056/trump-encourages-his-supporters-to-get-covid-19-vaccine-within-limits-of-freedom

Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday recommended that all eligible Americans get the coronavirus vaccine when their opportunity comes, though he added a caveat that he also respects people's decisions not to get one.

Trump had faced growing calls for him to encourage his supporters — especially Republican men, who have voiced cynicism about the vaccine — to get vaccinated.

"I would recommend it, and I would recommend it to a lot of people that don't want to get it. And a lot of those people voted for me, frankly. But, you know, again, we have our freedoms and we have to live by that, and I agree with that also," Trump said during an interview with Fox News on Tuesday. "But it's a great vaccine, it's a safe vaccine, and it's something that works."

Oh it is?

Wow. I advertised on NPR programs and slashed them out of my company advertising budget 20 years ago. Wasted advertising money.

1 Their left winger whining style of news features was found to smell of bias and emotion
2 Their political immaturity
3 Funny how they like to call us sponsors and not call it what it is.

Gubment needs to stop wasting money on them. Low quality fake news.

The left posters here are still obsessed with Trump.

They will be until next year's elections.

Then, the will be even more upset with Trump.

Until the 2024 elections.

Then they will be even more livid with Trump, and some heads may explode.

Yes Trump said he would recommend it, but then added a big but that diluted that recommendation.
He also does not tout the fact that he got vaccinated, and certainly did not do that in public as other officials have done, like Biden and Fauci.
Conservatives really don't consider virtue signaling to be virtuous. So it seems that your real complaint is, is that conservatives don't share all the vices of liberals. I'll let you in on a secret. That's why conservatives are conservatives.

Given that the right have been feeding on a steady diet of fear and outrage for (at least) the last half-century, it's amusing that they'd get upset when the left engages in the same thing.

The reality is that if there's fear-mongering of COVID, it's due to two things:

1) the emergence of new more-dangerous variants
2) right-wing "resistance" (re. lies, misunderstandings, fear) to virus mitigation efforts

Having a firearm to protect yourself is hardly irrational fear.

It's kind of sad that they have to focus on Trump because the guy they elected has no victories to celebrate.

...says the person who insisted we wear masks for a year, close our businesses, give up our jobs, pull our children out of school to protect us from a disease most of us were not in any danger of getting, and the vast majority of those who did recovered quickly.

Sorry, but after all of the COVID hysteria from the Looney Left over the last year, you don't get to accuse anybody of being "irrational".
