Why your prayers go unanswered

You do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask with evil motives so that you may expend it on your worldly desires.
James 4:2-3

Whatever we ask we receive from Him because we keep His commands and do the things that are pleasing in His sight.
1 John 3:22

This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
1 John 5:14

Are you asking for what God wants or what you want?

God is not Santa Claus.

If anyone wishes to come after me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his soul will lose it but whoever loses his soul for my sake will find it. Matthew 16:24-25

Asking God for what you want for yourself is not denying yourself and denying what you want nor will it amount to seeking God's will and what He wants. It is focusing on yourself and what you want, your own will. But He is Spirit and you are flesh and the flesh is hostile to God and does not submit to the will of God seeking rather to serve itself. And that is why you must deny yourself to rather do God's will.

Your prayers go unanswered and you do not receive because you aren't trusting God and His will so you do not bother to seek His will but you ask for what you yourself want because you trust in yourself and your will instead. And that is why you pray for what you want rather than to hear what God wants.

God is not Santa Claus. And God is not your servant who responds to your personal wants and desires. You are to be His servant responding to His desires, not the other way around.

Your prayers go unanswered and you do not receive because you refuse to trust that what God wants rather than what you want is the way to life. And so you trust rather in yourself by asking for what you want, what you will, because that is more important to you than the will of God.

And there will always be those who willfully deceive themselves, those who delude themselves into believing their own will and what they want for themselves just happens to be God's will. They refuse to deny themselves and refuse to lose their soul to save it.

This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

Here is one thing out of many that I learned from Jesus is, Jesus was very clear that in that day ye shall ask me noting but go to the Father for yourself and He will give it you.

What day? The day that one receives from God that what Jesus did in Matt 3:16. God Himself brought Jesus out of the temple for the Jewish laws and gave directly to him who He is and His will for mankind.

Jesus didnt hear that from another man, nor did he read it from a book, God Himself was the communicator just as the same in us all who has reached that day that Jesus did in Matt 3:16. The only reason we need a bible after that day is to quote who we should be in the Father to those religious minds who cant hear from God but has to have a preacher to read a book and hear god for them. They even pay a man to hear god for them. They sit in a pew and shout AMEN to the preacher or teacher but never hear God themselves.

Yep.

Jesus is the way to the Father but unlike the disciples who followed him in the Gospel accounts who asked him question after question, once born of God, they didn't need to do that anymore. "They will all be taught by God."

That's about right.

The Bible is somewhat like a man who preaches the Gospel. Each of these things point somewhere else.

They even pay a man to hear god for them. They sit in a pew and shout AMEN to the preacher or teacher but never hear God themselves.

That's the sad part. Taught by earthly men rather than God. Perfect setup for false prophets.

And many pew sitters pretend they are led by the Spirit when they know they are not.

Even worse, Catholics are taught to believe it has to be that way as you described above. They can't hear from God except second hand through their Magesterium.

It is that same with all denominations, not just the Catholic. They all have their set of laws to regulate a belief, which is proof that beliefs are just that, a belief with no substance to solitify ... one can believe anything about a god, some believe in three of them, some say God is a man, some say a man as a god is coming someday to save them. Some believe as Jim Jones and David Koresh, Mormons, LDS, AODs, you name it all have a belief but absent of the one who actually reveals Himself in man.

My point was that some Protestants at least know they are to be led by the Spirit and taught by God.

Catholics are taught this can't happen and they need to be taught by Rome and get everything second hand.

Yes that's all true.

But most are too deluded to see through the fog of their own delusions.

And they seem to like it there too.

We Catholics are taught by the 'pillar and foundation of [the] truth' -- THE CHURCH!

Interesting -- Does not the mustard seed develop over time?

Good trees bear good fruit. Bad trees bear bad fruit.

Both of them grow.

And Jesus warned us about the bad trees. He told us to Beware and he didn't instruct us that false prophets are "whoever doesn't agree with me" as if they are whoever we want them to be. That would be the way of idiots.

When Christ said 'Whatever you bind...' does whatever not have meaning to you in the future sense?

I can't make sense out of your question. Try a more coherent rendition.

There are people posting on this site right now who insist the Lord Jesus has not God and that our God has no son (including Jesus)

Agree, they like their rules, laws, because in them they can love their sin and simply ask for forgiveness, then do the same thing all over again
tomorrow LOL.

What do you think 'Whatever you bind...' means? Does it include Church teachings through the centuries?
Absolutely it does. Church teachings are man made rules and regulations to control their beliefs and has noting at all to do with the ways of God in man that we be like Him and get our information straight from God instead of some lawyer standing in a pulpit reciting laws to govern their gods.

You Catholics have formed your own pillar and foundation and call it of God is all. Yiouy are no different from the Mormons who do the same, the LDS who do the same, The Pentecostals who do the same, the COC who do the same.

All of you are the very same, you have made your own laws to govern your own gods and have no intent in receiving from God that what Jesus did in Matt 3:16 that you may walk as He walks in His same mind, instead of walking. in the3 mind of these man made religious belief systems that you are of instead of being like him as Jesus was like Him, perfect even as your Father ion heaven is perfect isn't possible for any of these cults systems.

You are dedicated to a creed instead of dedicated to the ways of God to be that person of Christ yourself. You are not Christian, you are catholic. A Christian is exactly like our Father who is God. SO was Jesus of this same God.
