The Bible says:
41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’
44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’
45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’
46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”
Is that a lie?
Those are the words of Jesus.
The problem here isn't those words.
The problem is that you are ignoring the words that came before.

I was thirsty and you gave me drink. I was a stranger and you took me in. 36 I was naked and you clothed me. I was sick and you visited me. I was in prison and you came to me.’ 37 “Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you a drink? 38 When did we see you as a stranger and take you in, or naked and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and come to you?’ 40 “The King will answer them, ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’
The problem is that you have been rejecting the gospel of Jesus, which will give you eternal life.

So, if you actually want to suffer the consequences of your sin, then that's exactly what you will get!
Great. So explain. When it says God sends those who reject him to eternal punishment in a lake of fire, what are the dynamics here?
Eternal separation from God.
The question is, why are you choosing eternal separation, when you are being given the opportunity to receive eternal life, peace and joy?

I am just going by what the Bible says. God sends people to eternal punishment in a lake of fire.
