As most of you are aware, we had a crash to forums and were down for over two days a while back. We did have to do an upgrade to the vbulletin software to fix the forums and that has created changes, VB no longer provide the hybrid or threaded forums. There are some issues/changes to the forums we are not able to fix or change. Also note the link address change, please let friends and posters know of the changed link to the forums. For now this is the only link available, https://forums.carm.org/vb5/ but if clicking on forum on carm.org homepage it will now send you to this link. (edited to add https: now working.

Again, we are working through some of the posting and viewing issues to learn how to post with the changes, you will have to check and test the different features, icons that have changed. You may also want to go to profile settings, since many of the notifications, information in profile, also to update/edit your avatar by clicking on avatar space, pull down arrow next to login for user settings.

Edit to add "How to read forums, to make it easier."
Pull down arrow next to login name upper right select profile, or user settings when page opens to profile, select link in tab that says Account. Then select/choose options, go down to Conversation Detail Options, Select Display mode Posts, NOT Activity, that selection of Posts will make the pages of discussions go to last post on last page rather than out of order that happens if you choose activity threads. Then be sure to go to bottom and select SAVE Changes in your profile options. You can then follow discussions by going through the pages, to the last page having latest responses. Then click on the other links Privacy, Notifications, to select viewing options, the forums get easier if you open all the tabs or links in your profile, user settings and select options. To join Super Member, pull down arrow next to login name, select User Settings and then click on tab/link at top that says Subscriptions.

Thank you for your patience and God Bless.

  • Some great info for Faith1960..

We are studying the creation of man from tne Biblical perspective, vs. what evolutioniststs teach, including big bang, Darwinism, age of earth, etc. It is taught by a Dr. Weise, who is an expert on it. It is 4 or 5 sessions long, with lots of information. He is a good speaker, very witty and funny--he sounds li,e Jay Leno--, but he uses humor to get his points across. In the first session, he basically lays out the groundwork for the series, and really gets into the meat and potatoes in the second session, which we watched tonight. Here is the link to it the series:

It is a good series and should help answer your questions. God bless you and guide you.

I listened to much of it (though I did leave the room occasionally while doing other things), and didn’t hear (and can’t find) the part about the age of the earth. Can you remember where it might be?

I have only seen the first two. I guess I just assumed he would discuss the age of the earth. I didn't hear anything directly dealing with the age of the earth there, either, per se--though he does bring up how evolutionists keep reassessing how old the earth is. Oh, and how he talked to a scientist about carbon dating and how it can be off by millions of years. That is what I meant. Sorry I wasn't clearer. However, he clearly believes in the Biblical account of creation. And finds the idea that a Creator like God made everything far more believable and logical, than that all that we see today was some gigantic, cosmic 'mistake."

Have you listened to all 4 sessions all the way through? I think there were 2 parts per session.

Have you ever heard of the website Answers in Genesis? It is a very good website, with Dr. David Menton, I think his name is. He is a Lutheran, belonging to one of the small conservative branches and I think is a cellular biologist--I don't remember exactly. Maybe he could answer some of your questions.

          www.answersingenesis.org

Use the search engine with "age of the earth" and articles pop up.

Hope this helps you. In the end, we do not know everything, but God does, and that is fine with me. One of the things in Dr. Weise's class was that science comes FROM God, but we must never MAKE Science our god.

This is very interesting Bonnie. Thanks for posting it.

No, I’m sorry, but I haven’t listened to all 4 sessions all the way through yet.

Okay. Neither have I. The age of the earth may come up later on in the sessions. But do look at answersingenesis.org and see what it says. It is a good website.

Again, we cannot know everything about creation this side of heaven. We are, after all, finite creatures and not God. And I am okay with that. For "now we see as through a glass, darkly, but then, face to face."
