As most of you are aware, we had a crash to forums and were down for over two days a while back. We did have to do an upgrade to the vbulletin software to fix the forums and that has created changes, VB no longer provide the hybrid or threaded forums. There are some issues/changes to the forums we are not able to fix or change. Also note the link address change, please let friends and posters know of the changed link to the forums. For now this is the only link available, https://forums.carm.org/vb5/ but if clicking on forum on carm.org homepage it will now send you to this link. (edited to add https: now working.

Again, we are working through some of the posting and viewing issues to learn how to post with the changes, you will have to check and test the different features, icons that have changed. You may also want to go to profile settings, since many of the notifications, information in profile, also to update/edit your avatar by clicking on avatar space, pull down arrow next to login for user settings.

Edit to add "How to read forums, to make it easier."
Pull down arrow next to login name upper right select profile, or user settings when page opens to profile, select link in tab that says Account. Then select/choose options, go down to Conversation Detail Options, Select Display mode Posts, NOT Activity, that selection of Posts will make the pages of discussions go to last post on last page rather than out of order that happens if you choose activity threads. Then be sure to go to bottom and select SAVE Changes in your profile options. You can then follow discussions by going through the pages, to the last page having latest responses. Then click on the other links Privacy, Notifications, to select viewing options, the forums get easier if you open all the tabs or links in your profile, user settings and select options. To join Super Member, pull down arrow next to login name, select User Settings and then click on tab/link at top that says Subscriptions.

Thank you for your patience and God Bless.

The need nCs feel to divert is a defense mechanism used to avoid their own conscience. You may feel better now but you would be better off addressing it now instead of waiting until judgment day when it is too late.

since Greek doesn't denote proper nouns, you have nothing upon which to base your argument that it was catholic church. Context OTOH would indicate that it is indeed a proper noun.

Why do you resort to the "show me in the NT" argument. Show me "Christian Church" in the NT.

    LETS start with honesty.

The issue isn't how helpful scripture is, nor how it can lead to salvation, nor how perfect or true it is.

I believe a person can have enough material from just one page in the bible to save them.

The issue here is the one people have avoided to answer.

DOES SCRIPTURE TEACH explicitly or implicitly that SCRIPTURE ALONE AND ONLY is the FINAL AUTHORITY.

    So I say again:

No one has yet to say THERE IS NO VERSE. So I must assume there is one. Show it.

Lets hear the TRUTH not excuses and complaints ABOUT the TRUTH.

Is this teaching found in the bible YES OR NO. PICK ONE!

This thread lives on the FEAR of the TRUTH.

Every subject change and dodge , critizism.

Because a person will not admit their own teaching is not biblical.
    Are you Catholic?

Perhaps. But what you claim has nothing to do with the topic.

Does it teach this YES OR NO?

You have not said YES or NO.

Are you afraid of the truth?

Let us hear you say yes or no. Not a complaint or prophecy of our reactions. The answer is YES OR NO.

We are more then 2000 posts in and all have avoided this question. Why would the TRUTH hurt one's case instead of HELP it?

Fact is however that the Bible is the Word of God and contains the path to salvation without the Catholic Church.

The Catholic Church has too many dogmas that teach against what Jesus taught.

That makes Scripture the highest authority. Yet the Catholic church teaches against that too leaving Catholics with a religious busy work road to salvation

which is the wrong road. Learn scripture and the real teachings of Jesus.

"Some say they have gven you verses but it does not matter."

Who? we have gotten zero scripture.

"The apostles did not know there would be a NT to call scripture."

I accept your surrender the apostles did not follow Sola Scriptura.

The apostles had the complete gospel and full teaching of the church. That these things get recorded in scripture is a bonus.

Ink and Paper is not some superior magic vs word of mouth or being taught in person.

And like you said The apostles did not know of any scripture being higher authority.
