As most of you are aware, we had a crash to forums and were down for over two days a while back. We did have to do an upgrade to the vbulletin software to fix the forums and that has created changes, VB no longer provide the hybrid or threaded forums. There are some issues/changes to the forums we are not able to fix or change. Also note the link address change, please let friends and posters know of the changed link to the forums. For now this is the only link available, https://forums.carm.org/vb5/ but if clicking on forum on carm.org homepage it will now send you to this link. (edited to add https: now working.

Again, we are working through some of the posting and viewing issues to learn how to post with the changes, you will have to check and test the different features, icons that have changed. You may also want to go to profile settings, since many of the notifications, information in profile, also to update/edit your avatar by clicking on avatar space, pull down arrow next to login for user settings.

Edit to add "How to read forums, to make it easier."
Pull down arrow next to login name upper right select profile, or user settings when page opens to profile, select link in tab that says Account. Then select/choose options, go down to Conversation Detail Options, Select Display mode Posts, NOT Activity, that selection of Posts will make the pages of discussions go to last post on last page rather than out of order that happens if you choose activity threads. Then be sure to go to bottom and select SAVE Changes in your profile options. You can then follow discussions by going through the pages, to the last page having latest responses. Then click on the other links Privacy, Notifications, to select viewing options, the forums get easier if you open all the tabs or links in your profile, user settings and select options. To join Super Member, pull down arrow next to login name, select User Settings and then click on tab/link at top that says Subscriptions.

Thank you for your patience and God Bless.

  • But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them. 2 Corinthians 4:2-4

Why cherry pick scriptures to fit one's fancy? Does God approve of that?

Why approach an other brother in Christ as if God is not working through him?

Let us abide by this Golden rule and do not turn away from it for if one does it is sin.

God help us abide in you and spiritually discenn what you speak to our minds and take it to heart.

1Jn 2:26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.

1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

So does this mean that you do not accept the testimony of the prophet Peter in Acts 10? If not where do you think we should go to get the truths of Jesus?

So are we now back to the idea that Jesus, the man, the son of David, was not God, the Son of the living God? Was the Divine nature of Jesus and the human nature of Jesus bound together in an unbreakable bond, with sufficient power to take all of the sins of the world upon Him and take them to Calvary? I believe that Jesus was fully able to save us from our sins, and to produce good works in all who truely follow Him.

Provide those two or three witnesses for Luke's Pentecost.

                            Luke doesn't speak for Peter.

Now Greg, you're just blatantly ignoring your prophetess' advice never to say that you're saved. Besides, in EGW's point of view, "working righteousness" was seeking to do the best of your ability to keep the law to obtain the inheritance of faith.

You were made alive together with Christ. This is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. For we are His workmanship!

Mathias - I am not going against Jesus' prophet but against your assumptions.
You can't make this stuff up. It's in Ellen's Object Lessons, p. 155.
"Those who accept the Saviour, however sincere their conversion, should never be taught to say or feel that they are saved."

Then why did she claim to seek it through the best of her ability?
"I have been for more than forty years engaged in labor to save souls for Jesus Christ, ...
... If I was knowingly transgressing one of God's commandments because it was convenient for me to do so, then I could not trust God .... But when I seek to overcome to the best of my ability, ...then it is my privilege to claim His promises ...

Will you not compare your character with God's moral law, the ten commandments? And then seek to come into obedience to all of God's requirements." Adventism 101
Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham.
Christ redeemed us so that we receive the blessing of Abraham, the promise of the Spirit through faith. Gal 3:7-14

                              Gregs response:
When one of us claims the promises of God's power to save us from sin and empower us to not sin, is that not the correct way to go? When we claim His promises are we to trust that He is able to accomplish His promises in us? When we follow Jesus by faith are we to devote our best energies to His cause, or are we to sit and do nothing until He comes? She claimed to be doing the best of her ability to follow in the footsteps of Jesus because she put all of herself on the altar of sacrifice knowing that Jesus wants us to do these things in harmony with Him.

Greg Replied - Since you are looking for at least two witnesses then I would recommend you studying out Acts 10 and 11. God felt that this was so important that He had the message of Peter repeated in these two chapters. Then we have the whole book of Galatians preaching the gospel of Jesus to the Gentiles and then Peter himself repeats the message in II Peter 1:16-21. They, the disciples, saw and believed and were saved and God used them to save others by their testimony.
