As most of you are aware, we had a crash to forums and were down for over two days a while back. We did have to do an upgrade to the vbulletin software to fix the forums and that has created changes, VB no longer provide the hybrid or threaded forums. There are some issues/changes to the forums we are not able to fix or change. Also note the link address change, please let friends and posters know of the changed link to the forums. For now this is the only link available, https://forums.carm.org/vb5/ but if clicking on forum on carm.org homepage it will now send you to this link. (edited to add https: now working.

Again, we are working through some of the posting and viewing issues to learn how to post with the changes, you will have to check and test the different features, icons that have changed. You may also want to go to profile settings, since many of the notifications, information in profile, also to update/edit your avatar by clicking on avatar space, pull down arrow next to login for user settings.

Edit to add "How to read forums, to make it easier."
Pull down arrow next to login name upper right select profile, or user settings when page opens to profile, select link in tab that says Account. Then select/choose options, go down to Conversation Detail Options, Select Display mode Posts, NOT Activity, that selection of Posts will make the pages of discussions go to last post on last page rather than out of order that happens if you choose activity threads. Then be sure to go to bottom and select SAVE Changes in your profile options. You can then follow discussions by going through the pages, to the last page having latest responses. Then click on the other links Privacy, Notifications, to select viewing options, the forums get easier if you open all the tabs or links in your profile, user settings and select options. To join Super Member, pull down arrow next to login name, select User Settings and then click on tab/link at top that says Subscriptions.

Thank you for your patience and God Bless.

It may make them appear more Christian than those who don't name their church after the name of Jesus Christ.

For me--a claim of being a Christian church--and not even naming their church after the only name a man can be saved through--has it's anomalies.

Acts 4:10-12-- King James Version (KJV) 10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

The LDS church bears the name of Jesus Christ--why would Christ's church not bear His name?

Why do churches bear the name of a man in so many instances?

If you convoluted logic is true,, The Church of Christ has a better claim to be the ONE True Church. .It has a Name solely devoted to Christ. and It a least identifies the True Christ is it's doctrines as NOT another God.

Yours should be named "Chruch of another Jesus Christ of Latter Day pretend Saints"--Hinckley by the way,. admitted that we differ on the Christ we Worship.

At least they are on the right path ... where in we see how many different denomination all claiming to be of Christ and yet at least 99% of them use another name ... oh my! So do Lutherans worship Christ or Luther... and why is Luther all of a sudden more important then the name of Jesus Christ... Lord and Savior to all, resurrected and now sits at the right Hand of His Father, the Eternal Father of Heaven and Earth..... talk about a need for a restoration and not a reformation (reforming) we now understand the importance of a single verse...

Acts 3:21 says, “whom heaven must receive until the period of restoration of all things about which God spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from ancient time.”

The LDS church bears the only name a man can be saved by--Jesus Christ.

At least you added a verse here, which in context from the previous verse says this

            :
            Acts 3:20-21 (NKJV)

20 and that He may send [a]Jesus Christ, who was [b]preached to you before, 21 whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since [c]the world began.

Do you NOT think that Jesus Christ Himself will do the deciding in the restoration of all things instead of Joey Smith?

And you have NOT answered to the fact that you Worship another Christ, but instead insert your lack of knowledge onto Christianity.

We have argued the foundation bit over-and-over and your Chruch clearly wants to put in a separate foundation, instead of the ONE that was laid for all time.,----based on CLAIM of Joey Smith.

But you still have the problem to address, which is another Christ you worship and you avoid answering to it like the plague.

And how do you figure you are not being honest in having a Chruch devoted to a man? You look to Joseph Smith as the "man" who restored what was supposedly lost, and even insert him and your faith in him in your testimonies.

The LDS church bears the only name a man can be saved by--Jesus Christ.---dberrie

Now you admitting that you believe Jesus Christ was just a MAN?

Kinda goes against what you say here.in dissing other Christian Churches.

Thanks for the verse, it clearly back up the restoration and how Christ chose JS to be a instrument in bringing back the Keys of the Kingdom and the true Plan of Salvation..... and I admit that my knowledge of orthodox christianity is limited ... for why study something that is apostate and without authority or power...

Uh no it proves nothing about Joey Smith. It is CHRIST who ushers in the Restoration, not a pretend, false prophet. Are you inserting onto Scripture this "instrument" in which Christ will affect His restoration?

Where do you see the word "instrument"?

You do know Christ is returning do you not?.

                  Matthew 24:42[NKJV{
Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.

This means that Christ is coming back in our lifetimes or many years into the future, but be Prepared as if it is tomorrow and following the deceptions of a false prophet will not turn out good for you..

The Biblical record testifies the church is built upon the foundation of apostles and prophets--Jesus Christ being the Chief Corner Stone.

Ephesians 2:20 ---King James Version (KJV)
                    20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

That's the foundation the LDS church is built upon--to this very day. They have the living, mortal apostles and prophets which lead Christ's church, by Jesus Christ.

                    When did God change?

obviously you think He changed when you insist that it should read "living and mortal NOW"---neither the living and moral thing is listed and especially the NOW thing is NOT in that verse.
Ephesians 2:20 ---King James Version (KJV)

But that is the main trouble with Mormonism--it ASSUMES a whole bunch of words are in the Bible when they are NOT.

And why pretend you can build something when it has already been built?

You do realize that Amos is in the Old Testament and he and other prophets foretold of Christ Who was to come and once He did this set of verse NOW apply----in this context you NOW agree upon.

1 God, who [a]at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, 2 has in these last days spoken to us by HisSon, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the [b]worlds;.

You going to argue with Christ on the Fact that God speaks to us by HIM in these Last Days which we are living in now?

Apparently context is only important when one wants it to be. And even then many don't get it right ,sometimes, what the Bible verses are saying, since they are seen through Mormon-colored glasses!

What is there about the posted scriptures do you feel is seen through "Mormon-colored glasses"?
