As most of you are aware, we had a crash to forums and were down for over two days a while back. We did have to do an upgrade to the vbulletin software to fix the forums and that has created changes, VB no longer provide the hybrid or threaded forums. There are some issues/changes to the forums we are not able to fix or change. Also note the link address change, please let friends and posters know of the changed link to the forums. For now this is the only link available, https://forums.carm.org/vb5/ but if clicking on forum on carm.org homepage it will now send you to this link. (edited to add https: now working.

Again, we are working through some of the posting and viewing issues to learn how to post with the changes, you will have to check and test the different features, icons that have changed. You may also want to go to profile settings, since many of the notifications, information in profile, also to update/edit your avatar by clicking on avatar space, pull down arrow next to login for user settings.

Edit to add "How to read forums, to make it easier."
Pull down arrow next to login name upper right select profile, or user settings when page opens to profile, select link in tab that says Account. Then select/choose options, go down to Conversation Detail Options, Select Display mode Posts, NOT Activity, that selection of Posts will make the pages of discussions go to last post on last page rather than out of order that happens if you choose activity threads. Then be sure to go to bottom and select SAVE Changes in your profile options. You can then follow discussions by going through the pages, to the last page having latest responses. Then click on the other links Privacy, Notifications, to select viewing options, the forums get easier if you open all the tabs or links in your profile, user settings and select options. To join Super Member, pull down arrow next to login name, select User Settings and then click on tab/link at top that says Subscriptions.

Thank you for your patience and God Bless.

  • Air Fryer

I got an air fryer last month. It is really great!. It cooks food very fast, is easy to clean and saves on oil and fat. Still you can get nice food that tastes like it was deep fried but it doesn't have all that oil. I got one for my brother and he uses it 4 or 5 times a week. There are thousands of recipes for it and you can do things other than fry. My daughter made some really good meatballs the other day.
Mark 9:24 Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

“Reason is a whore, the greatest enemy that faith has; it never comes to the aid of spiritual things,
but more frequently than not struggles against the divine Word, treating with contempt all that emanates from God.” ― Martin Luther

My husband had to be careful because he was borderline diabetic, so he had trouble he loved hot chips. So we were offered a good price on an air fryer and he it has helped. He can have the chips and not be concerned.

I'm borderline and my husband is a diabetic so that is why I bought it. It is great. I use it a lot.

Personally, for me, initially, I thought it was a very useful gadget and it's healthier than deep frying.. But cleaning is nightmare! It is not true that it does not use oil. If you are cook using fresh ingredients, you'll still need oil. The "no need to use oil" is just for processed food like nuggets, chicken rolls, etc. Fries somehow don't taste good with air fryer.

I think cleaning it is simple. I also don't use a lot of oil. I buy oil in a spray can and spray it on. Everything comes out great and I don't use a lot of oil. My brother is an expert at making fried chicken in the fryer and it comes out great. I'm not crazy about very thick meat since it may come out very crispy but I don't do that. I've even made cake in the fryer.

I'm guessing you don't use spray oil. It makes it very easy.

Here they advertise a tablespoon of oil is needed. I know my husband loves chips he would eat them with every meal if he could. Was borderline diabetes and is now in the normal range. The only change is the air fryer.

He does the cooking and the hand washing. He does not complain cleaning it, which he did with the normal deep fryer. So I am assuming the cleaning is not a problem.

we don't use frozen foods because of all the things I cannot eat. So the chips are fresh but it did take him a few times to get it right.
