As most of you are aware, we had a crash to forums and were down for over two days a while back. We did have to do an upgrade to the vbulletin software to fix the forums and that has created changes, VB no longer provide the hybrid or threaded forums. There are some issues/changes to the forums we are not able to fix or change. Also note the link address change, please let friends and posters know of the changed link to the forums. For now this is the only link available, but if clicking on forum on homepage it will now send you to this link. (edited to add https: now working.

Again, we are working through some of the posting and viewing issues to learn how to post with the changes, you will have to check and test the different features, icons that have changed. You may also want to go to profile settings, since many of the notifications, information in profile, also to update/edit your avatar by clicking on avatar space, pull down arrow next to login for user settings.

Edit to add "How to read forums, to make it easier."
Pull down arrow next to login name upper right select profile, or user settings when page opens to profile, select link in tab that says Account. Then select/choose options, go down to Conversation Detail Options, Select Display mode Posts, NOT Activity, that selection of Posts will make the pages of discussions go to last post on last page rather than out of order that happens if you choose activity threads. Then be sure to go to bottom and select SAVE Changes in your profile options. You can then follow discussions by going through the pages, to the last page having latest responses. Then click on the other links Privacy, Notifications, to select viewing options, the forums get easier if you open all the tabs or links in your profile, user settings and select options. To join Super Member, pull down arrow next to login name, select User Settings and then click on tab/link at top that says Subscriptions.

Thank you for your patience and God Bless.

  • I feel so guilty I'm near tears

I have two fish tanks one is 125 gallon and the other a 40. I have had the 125 for 18 years. The fish in it are all over 15 years old and have been together that long. Originally I had some very vicious fish in there and I replaced them with fish that are fairly peaceful. They will eat small fish bu that is natural so I don't add small fish to the tank.

In my 40 gallon tank I have peaceful fish as well but they are smaller than those in the larger tank. I have wanted to get rid of the smaller tank so I have been waiting for the fish to grow large enough that the bigger fish in the 125 gallon wouldn't eat them. I have a beautiful black moor that is now just about half the size of my clenched fist and several others that I am waiting to have them grow larger.

Yesterday I put the goldfish in the larger tank after I cleaned it. My eel went bonkers and started swimming wildly around the tank with his head out of the water, He looked like he was trying to escape. My large barbs laid down on the bottom of the tank in a corner. I thought something was wrong so I took the goldfish out and rechanged the water. I thought the eel was dead, he was laying belly up in his hiding place. I put the temperature up in the tank and the other fish started behaving normally. I didn't take the eel out right away because I was making dinner and didn't want to mess with it.

About an hour later I went to take out the eel and found out he wasn't dead. That made me quite happy because I love my eel he is my favorite fish. Everyone looked good so I put the goldfish in the tank. It was now around 7 pm and I was watching the fish who seemed natural and the goldfish seemed to like the tank. None of the fish were fighting. Then my catfish came out of his cave and started fighting with the eel. That made me feel sad but if the eel is sick that is a natural thing for fish to do and I would have removed him from the tank and put him in a smaller tank and hoped he got better. Around 8 I came on the computer for a bit and my husband who was in the living room called me out. He said the fish were attacking the goldfish. One of the fish ate his eye. I immediately took him out of the tank and put him back in the smaller one. He seemed ok but this morning when I came in here (small tank is in the computer room) one of the loaches was nibbling on his missing eye.

I feel absolutely terrible. I love the goldfish. He is my second favorite and pretty close to the first. Now I can't bear to look at him. First because I feel so guilty and secondly because he looks so weird without an eye and fairly helpless. I don't know what to do. I didn't think this would happen. It makes me feel sick.
